  1. Thank you for a very clear answer !!!
  2. I know that it does that wasn’t my question. Can fish see the line that is glowing under the water is my question.
  3. I use Pline flourescent glow line for night fishing with my LED Blacklights. I’m thinking sometimes the fish in my very clear lake see that glow line…I’m thinking about tying a flouro leader. Any experience here ???
  4. Well I tried that but I would still reel the knot thru the guides sometimes. Thinking maybe Power Pro is too thick I’m gonna try 30 pound to see if it helps. I use a pretty long rod for this…7,4 I think so it’s tough to throw with some much lime out. It’s the Big Toowater rod by Diawa Tatula. Randy Howell signature series designed specially for big walking baits. Kinda designed for LONG casts but the rod length is tricky most people use a shorter rod and I always have before. I watched him use it and he pooped it up and not down but I can’t get used to that.
  5. 50 is obviously too big. I’m gonna try 30 pound. I’ve tried mono and just don’t get enough reaction on the bigger baits with it from the stretch and it kills my wrist trying to get that perfect sound…..
  6. Anyone use this bait ? I have both sizes and I was wondering what you guys are throwing it on ? Rod action and line. Thanks.
  7. Super Spook , Rover. No doubt I am gonna just go back to 15 pound Big Game. I never had a single issue with that line. I’ve tried the whole braid thing and the only thing I like using braid for is with Frogs.
  8. I’m currently throwing 50 pound power pro with an FG knot to 15 pound Big Game. Knot is too big it catches every once in a while. I throw mainly big walking baits on this. What do I need to do to get a smaller knot so that it does not catch in my guides and they are not micro. I’m thinking about downsizing my braid maybe ??
  9. There are no 100 percent truths when it comes to bass fishing. That’s been my experience. I have such a love/hate relationship with TOPWATER fishing. Big risk Big reward. Either I catch big ones or nothing. White skies you could say it would be harder for a fish to find a white bait or you could say the white skies will hide the fact that the bait is a lure and not an actual food…….Each body of water is different too. My home lake seems to produce a better TOPWATER bite with lots of sun due to the fish tend to stay deeper in the clear water so they can be drawn up with more visibility and they tend to hang out and hide in lay downs when it’s sunny. When it’s cloudy I feel like they are more free to roam and I have to cover a lot of water fast.
  10. I have a couple Curado K reels that I’ve had since they came out. I’d really love to re condition these reels and replace or upgrade parts. Guess I’m looking for what you all replace on your reels and where you purchase the parts. Thank you fellows !
  11. Yes ! I just got the Diawa 7’4 BIG TOPWATER rod and omg I LOVE it. And I also love 50 pound braid. I tried it out with the Tatula Elite and it will get OUT there. Very satisfied.
  12. Another reason I want plenty of line.
  13. My main concern is casting distance due to how much line I can spool up. Like….if I spool my reel up with 30 pound and it holds more of it I’m wondering if casting distance will be significantly further than if I was using 50………. I’m pretty sure 80 yards of 50 pound…I will come closer to running out of line more so compared to 30 pound but I’m wondering if it would be enough to go down to 30 because I really like the buoyancy of 50 better.
  14. 3/4 ounce being the smallest………Like a Rover 128 but also a SUPER spook…
  15. Setting up a rod and reel for big walking baits. I need to bomb these things for more bites. What is the best braid to use I just bought some 50 pound Power Pro but my reel capacity says it will only hold 80 yards of that. Should I go down to 40 pound or even 30. I’m afraid if I go down to 30 it may not be enough for the bigger baits….but I need maximum casting distance. Last year I would spool off empty using a Shimano chrinarch MGL or curado Dc so I picked up a Diawa Tatula elite 100 and it hold a little bit more line. Thanks for your input.
  16. I think it all depends on the lake. I’m in Georgia as well my home lake “shallow” water is 24 to 30 feet. Spotted bass lake with alewives as the primary food source. Fish last week were shallow and so was the bait but I would bet 64 dollars Saturday morning after the cold front comes these fish will go to to the deepest parts of the area that they are already in. But it wouldn’t stop me from fishing just a slower presentation. It’s still March.
  17. Plenty of mono out there and flouro that will glow with a black light I’m just wanting to find a braid that will glow as well.
  18. Do y’all know of anyone that makes a braided line that glows under uv lights ?
  19. Nah… they lost me first time trying to order from them. Went with *** while thing took 2 minutes.
  20. Until now….it keeps saying my billing information is wrong and it’s not.
  21. Awful funny how MY luck is I’ve been trying to order from them all morning ….keeps saying my billing address is wrong which it is not. Will not let me purchase anything. Very frustrated.
  22. Anyone have experience ordering from Tackle Trap ? How is their service ?
  23. Randy Howell Big TOPWATER rod. 7’4 MH but wouldn’t that be pretty long ??? Most people use shorter rods but I’m interested in this rod.
  24. Well for me …I can drive to Bass Pro Shops. I’m probably not gonna order something from someone online I can just drive to. Taboo is a good word tho because I used to dream of spending a DAY inside Bass Pro Shops lol now I think they stink and have NOTHING ?? really just means I have enough things to fish with lol
  25. I know I used 2 different 7 ft rods for jerking yesterday and it SUCKS. Think I’m gonna go with under 7 foot for sure.
