    Big Worms

    Zoom all the way!
  3. You guys definitely got lucky on that one!
  4. Zoom finesse worms.
  5. Thanks, Mostly 3' - 6' in the grass away from the banks where deep water access is real close. They have been active in the middle of the day mostly which has been strange for as hot as it's been. Wow, that is kinda strange. I need to get back out on the water. It's been almost 3 weeks now! Thanks for the info!
  6. I caught a 12.11 and a 10.6 in April using a 4" Finesse worm, 1/0 hook and 12# test. I never use real big baits.
  7. Nice Bass! If you don't mind me asking... what depth are you finding the big fish in right now? I'm just curious.
  8. Sounds like a really nice guy. :-? I'm amazed at people sometimes. You wouldn't think any woman in her right mind would even want to look at a guy who has been convicted of rape. Makes you wonder! :-/
  9. Well, I've never really tried to catch them, but I did catch a 36" Gar on a in-line spinner bait one time. :-?
  10. Wow! What a fatty! How long was she?
  11. Yep, that's a Shell Cracker! I've caught some huge ones on plastic worms and lizards. They get bigger than your average Bluegill. Nice fish!
  12. I think I'm going to make some and try them.
  13. I've been a bunch of times. It's always fun. I was pretty big into the street strip scene back in the 90's. I've had a few quick cars. Nothing like a top fueler! Most of mine were 12 sec 1/4 mile cars. Here's a pic of my old Formula 350. It had a 355 with ported heads, 520 lift cam, headers, ETC...
  14. Well, back in '87 I broke my personal best (8 lbs at the time) twice in 1 day on consecutive casts. I caught a 11 lb Bass and then, on my very next cast, which happened to be in the same exact spot, I caught a 9 lb Bass. Then in '98 I broke my 11 lb record with a 13+ lb Bass. I've caught a lot of Bass in the 10 lb range, but I've only landed 4 Bass over 10 lbs!
  15. Well, I never keep any Bass, so my live wells never get used (I've never used them even once!). I don't fish with live bait, so I never have any left over. If I do have any Hydrilla or water lettuce... I clean them off at home as I always rinse off the boat after a fishing trip. They never make it back to the water. I very seldom have any though. Most of the lakes I fish are pretty clean around the ramp area at least.
  16. Way to go!
  17. I use MHF on all soft plastics. It's really personal preference. Some like M and I've seen some guys using H for the same application.
  18. It will make the rod a little stiffer. On occasion, I'll take some off the tip of a blank to stiffen it up or take some off the butt to soften it up when I'm building a rod.
  19. It's still available right in your neck of the woods from Producto. Mineral oil is what I use though and it works well. It's NOT an attractant (for those that didn't know) it's just a plastics conditioner or lube...like you said. Wow! Didn't know they still had it. I have worms that are well over 20 yrs old and they are still like new because of that stuff! It really works as far as keeping your worms like new and it smells good too! Thanks for the info.
  20. I wonder if they taste anything like salt and vinegar potato chips? :-?
  21. Sounds like you had a blast! 8-)
  22. Those are some really pretty Bass. What state did they come from?
  23. Any body remember "Lunker Lotion" from back in the day? I don't think they make it anymore... or at least not around here. It was basically worm lube! 8-)
  24. Sounds like you had fun at least. I've caught Cats on all kinds of stuff. Are you anywhere near Blue Ridge or Elijay G.A. ? I've fished up that way before.
  25. Looks like you had a blast!
