  1. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Flambeau_WP3001_Utility_Box_Open_Core_With_Zerust/descpage-FL6137.html?from=bshop&msclkid=996522f2563b186c223f402219924dd7&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping - Fishing Storage%3Abshop&utm_term=4579191054107372&utm_content=Shopping - Fishing Storage is this a different size?
  2. I saw that too and got really excited, then saw sold out haha
  3. Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1:1, if you use code “primetime” it brings it down to $54 https://www.the-house.com/ack01149zz-daiwa-fishing-accessories
  4. If you use code “primetime” it brings it down to $54, and I would certainly grab one if it wasn’t 8.1:1
  5. I don’t think you can anymore, more like $85-100 That’s why I think those SLX combos for $130ish are the best deal out there
  6. Cabelas has Tatula 100 for $130-$136 depending on which model
  7. Great review, much appreciated
  8. but they’re so “pure” ? I think that’s just berkley’s thing now, unfortunately, just slightly modifying a bait so it’s not exactly a “copy.” I don’t think any of the changes they make are drastic enough to be considered innovation. So many companies push “new” baits that aren’t new. Making a silent version of your rattling crank bait is not a new bait
  9. Awesome, I’m curious how it’ll compare to the B-Hittay.
  10. I mostly fish 3/8 chatterbaits, maybe a 1/2 every once in a while. You think the heavy Tatula is too much?
  11. Search SLX Combo on ALF Considering they’re also offering 15% off right now (until the end of the day) I think this is probably the best deal out there. My son is 14, he’s got his first baitcaster this year and he’s got an SLX reel and it’s working well for him (he’s lucky my dad makes custom rods so he made him one for Christmas).
  12. I was gonna suggest these, but if you’re having the hook point end sliding down, I don’t know if they’ll help. Maybe keeping the hook point buried in the plastic would help.
  13. Using the z man ned head with a wire keeper does the trick for me. I’ll leave the same bait on the same ned head tied on for multiple trips and the only time I have to adjust is after catching a fish. I actually have a harder time getting them off, the elaztech really gets caught on there.
  14. Omnia has 20% off site wide with code SUMMER20 I didn’t check out but a put a Daiwa reel in the cart to check and it did apply the discount.
  15. So uh, how does one set drag to certain percentage? Like if I want to set it to 5 lbs, how do I know that it’s at 5 lbs?
  16. Have you found a rod that does all four?
  17. The Daiwa Fuego LT is a good option, this video is a good review
  18. There’s no market. Mass produced foreign made products took over the market with low prices and “almost as good” quality. Most people don’t want to pay more for American Made, let alone custom made. (And now with inflation most people couldn’t afford either if they wanted to) It’s the same as all the local fishing shops (and really most small businesses,) they couldn’t compete with the online stores in terms of price and most people would rather save a few bucks than support a local business.
  19. Can’t believe I missed that. I have more rods than reels lol
  20. That’s mean
  21. Ollie’s has SLX for $50!?
  22. DSG has a bunch of stuff on sale “Spring Tackle Sale”
  23. between that and duct tape you can fix anything
  24. I’m far from an expert on this. I use cheap mono for a backing, I’ve found spools on clearance at Walmart for $3. But IMHO as an electrician, I wouldn’t want to use electrical tape. Countless times I’ve seen electrical tape turn into a nasty gooey mess, especially when exposed to the elements, and more often than not it leaves behind a sticky black residue.
