  1. Super glue it back in and it will be good.
  2. I loved Beck with the Yardbirds. Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart (Jeff Beck Group) was something else....my favorite rock band of all time. Originally, I started listening to Jeff Beck when I was in high school with Blow by Blow ....and then with Jan Hammer. I was blessed to have seen him about three different times. There's 1,452 guitar pickers in Nashville...but one Jeff Beck.
  3. ....long time fan of everything Beck.
  4. Right...."In God we trust....all others bring data." ...or Data.
  5. We have summer pool...which is the lake normal operating level. Winter pool...aka permanent pool. This lower level is to hold winter and spring rains. And we have flood pool. This is an elevation above summer pool in which water goes over the spillway gates. For example, Percy Priest Lake in Nashville has these elevations: Winter or permanent pool: 480 Summer pool also called Power drawdown pool: 480-490 Flood control pool 490-504.5
  6. Yup...and for some reason....it seems like those slow days is when you catch a really good fish.
  7. Yep....there is a lot more to fishing than catching. This week is been: rod building, lure making and boat upgrades.
  8. I have to agree. I love being on the water...and it's those slow days that gets me on the trail to new water.
  9. I made this one for my nephew...
  10. I love to read about some of the extreme measures people will go through to catch a bass. At one of the club tournaments last year all the guys were talking about line: braid, floro..etc and what leaders and knots. One of the guys ask me what leader knot I used and I said I was fishing straight mono. They were dumbfounded! To further emphasize my point...second place that day went to a young guy fishing out of a 10ft Jon boat.
  11. FWIW....Fuji is not making the black finish any more. Lately I've have been buying the Fuji guide kits from MudHole that are packaged by Angler Resource...spinning and casting. I found myself spending too much time looking for particular guides in a size and color. Love the LKW kit in Alconite.
  12. I always get the paper maps...aside from more detail. If I'm lookin at wind, for or against, I like to look at the big picture (pun intended)?
  13. I use it too...
  14. Opened my package today! Thanks.
  15. You can expand on it with more statistics: "I had four pretty good ones...there may have been others I didnt know about. I wasnt there very long." ?
  16. @Sam Good,Bad and Ugly gets my vote for RTSAY song of the year award. This one is for @TnRiver46
  17. I was fishing on Tims Ford one fall day. We were catching fish pretty good that day on crank bait. I remember, for some reason, that parrot was a color we used a lot then (and there). Anyway...it was getting about time to go and I had made a long cast and was acting like I had a fish on. "There he is"..etc...etc. Partner gets the net and I kind of started laughing. He throws the net down mumbling. Then...about that time the drag starts buzzing. I was like "No really...there he is...". Partner is not going for it this time. Then a three pound smallie burst out of the water and dives....drag is screaming now. My partner is now holding the net next to me. I get the fish in close to the boat...partner bends down to scoop. When he lifts the fish out of the water...the crank bait is caught on the rim of the net...and the fish is hanging on the outside of the net!!...then it falls back into the water. He throws the net down and says, "Thats what you get."
  18. Totally agree. The same goes for water slide decals...they tend to adhere better on a thin layer of epoxy.
  19. I had a change to fish Weiss for 3 days this fall...those Alabama spots are no joke.
