  1. So I just picked up a nrx 822s dsr! Thank for everyone's help but as for waranty my rods cracked and my local shop said with past claims they've made they had no success unless the rod was snapped. I'm screwed till mine fully breaks but as for you, you should be okay! I'm not sure about paying a fee though.
  2. I've never heard if alpha angler but I just checked out the DSR by them and that is a pretty sweet rod!
  3. This is awesome thank you! Definitely made me more confident in the recoil guides. Most things I read prior were all second hand accounts or things guys heard so its nice to see someone have positive feedback towards them.
  4. Really eh? I'm glad you've had experience with them before so I feel I can take your opinion more to heart. As far as cutting the guides thats the one big red flag I had. But sounds to me like it could be a very small percentage of people that may have had this happen. Big picture sounds like i shouldn't worry to much. But you found they helped in a way? What did you find made it a better rod with the REC guides? It also helps that I only plan on throwing straight fluro on this combo!
  5. Definitely prefer to go the higher end route, nrx and legend extreme. Thats definitely a high contender on my list, I've heard alot of bad regarding the recoil guides though. Have you have any experience?
  6. Recently had a mishap with a megabass Destroyer and warranty issues are making me want to stop doing business with them entirely. Wondering for a replacement who'd be the better replacement. A rod from St-croix or Gloomis? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts!
