  1. Rock in spring, weeds/wood in summer, wood in fall, back to rock as fall turns to winter. As always there's exceptions, but this is a general guideline for me.
  2. Abolutely not. They'd probably allow that for Brady though.
  3. Nothing to see here. Just another boring dropshot tournament.
  4. They owned it and, corrected the situation instead of throwing their anglers under the bus. That's the right call IMO.
  5. While this holds true for alot of fish. It doesn't apply to all. Especially big ones. I have a friend who regularly catches big smallies all summer long below the thermocline. I've also talked to musky guys who catch big brown bass deep in summer while trolling for essox. Like most things in fishing, staying above the thermocline is a guideline that will likely produce the best numbers, but it's not absolute.
  6. The stouter rod and braid will help. Good technique is absolutely important. Make sure you're pointing your rod tip at 'em and reeling the slack out, then crack 'em as hard as you can.
  7. Nope. I'm thinking, That Katie is a Hammer!!! You catch lots of quality fish, and it ain't just because of the waters you fish. I guarantee you can catch 'em on those more pressured waters as well should you decide to fish them. Don't sell yourself short. Looking forward to the pics of all those frog fish once you get a proper froggin setup. Don't know what brand you're using, but all frogs aren't created equal. Some are softer and have a better hook angle than others. Tactical Bassin has a good YT video on it. I believe he said the SPRO was one of the softer bodied ones.

She reads your posts huh? Man, that's rough.
  9. I'm sure I've bought over a hundred over the years. The only things that've come together are the sides of my wallet. I must not have bought the right brand. Please don't tell me the right brand is Loomis. I'll end up living in a van, down by the river.
  10. I didn't have an issue with using PP. I got billed the price Digitaka listed. Exchange rate was 1usd = 136.3jpy. They did use my backup funding source instead of a bank transfer. Card company contacted me to make sure it wasn't a fraudulent transaction. All went smoothly. FedEx says it'll be here Friday. First thing I'm gonna do to that scorpion is put a big ol honkin Daiwa handle that I have laying around on it. ? I know, I know, I have a pack of shims.
  11. ? This should be marked as the solution.
  12. #STRAIGHTBRAIDBRIGADE
  13. I have two. Great for skipping, Trigs, flukes, jigs, senkos...... I prefer something stouter in heavy cover, but in light to moderate cover this rod is often in my hand. Light weight, and super sensitive with enough power to drive a big hook home.
  14. I dunno if the Tharp and Essence blanks are the same or not. I don't have the same models of the two to compare. The Invoker is different from any of the others though. The outer layer is an unsanded carbon wrap.
  15. My old excalibur matrix 330 ain't the fastest, lightest, or smallest, but it's dead simple, super accurate, uber reliable, and it's made several dozen deer dead. It's paid for itself over and over again in meat.
  16. I feel like I get more than I pay for when comparing to other brands. I'm currently at 15 with another on the way. Zero issues. I wouldn't trade a Tharp or Invoker for a Dobyns Champ, or a Tatula, or a Victory, or... OMMV
  17. I like you Stewart. You're not like the other kids, here in the trailer park.
  18. I haven't felt this way since I ate those mushrooms off a cow patty.
  19. Not sure what you mean by evidence, but I can tell ya, my Money Maker is lighter, more sensitive, more responsive, and better balanced than my Kaden 744 or 765 Flip. It's similar in power to the 765. Still like the 744 for moving baits, but the Tharp King Cobra, and Money Maker have my 766 Sierra and 765 Kaden collecting dust.
  20. Very nice for flipping, pitching and skipping, or any other short range technique for that matter. My wife confiscated mine. Darn near impossible to backlash.
  21. Broke off two would have been PB LM in two years pitching a jig on 20# Invizx. That stuff is crap. #NOMOREFLOUROEVER!!!
  22. Tharp Money Maker for the win. Fury ain't even playing in the same ballpark.
  23. You dirty scoundrels kept talking about JDM and provoked the monkey. Now I have a Scorpion 71XG on the way. LOL. I was actually gonna go a little higher end but couldn't find anything I wanted in stock. I really like my Curado and Scorpion 71's, so for $148, I added another. My first order at Digitaka, but it won't be the last. Easy as can be, and free shipping. Heck of a bargain vs a domestic Curado.
