  1. I’m assuming after gas prices hit about $6 as predicted and it’s off season that the inflated prices will adjust a bit - I’m thinking with my needs I’ll be in the market for a fiberglass boat.
  2. I’m soon to be in the market for my first Bass Boat - I say soon to be as I plan to buy one this upcoming fall/winter. Looking for some insight (extra research) regarding motors to stay away from, models of boats, manufacturers, length, capacity etc Located in Southwestern Ohio plan on fishing Brookville Lake, Caesar’s Creek etc - Fishing for Bass/Crappie etc. I’d like a boat that I could bring a buddy & my young son. Occasionally I might take my wife and 3 year old daughter to mess around in. Then on the flip side I’d like to take a buddy and fish a regular club tournament. Budget is around 15k - My garage door is 7ft high & 9ft wide @ 24ft deep. Essentially it’s an oversized 1 car garage. Any recommendations on “Hey get a 2000 20ft Triton tr200 with a 200hp mercury, hulls are solid, motors reliable” is essentially what I’m looking for. “Stray away from an Evenrude.” “The Triton 186 with a 150hp mercury will satisfy your needs.” Etc I plan on when pulling the trigger to have it pre inspected - As of now I’m just looking to look at what’s in that price range, without really knowing what I should be looking at. Thanks for info
  3. Yeap, I will just end up buying a used one is what I am looking for.
  4. Appreciate the info. My Brother in Law fishes big tournaments and has a new Skeeter with a 250 decked out. There is a need for him, not so much for me other than getting out on the water. Regarding being light and getting blown around easier, I am assuming power poles might be a good solution?
  5. Looking to purchase my first boat and looking for some general direction on where I should land. I would like to stay around 15k and plan on buying around mid winter when prices drop. Purpose - Mainly for fishing Bass & Crappie Possible small local tournaments Lake list if familiar (Brookville Lake - Caesers Creek Lake - Some trolling motor only lakes) As of now I don't plan on big water Would like a boat that my son could jump off of and swim if wanted. Probably wouldn't pull a tube. 3 Person boat would be fine Garage is 24ft Deep & 9ft Wide Some of the recommendations I have received is the Tracker 175 txw or something similar. My question is with going that route am I under powered at only having a small Mercury 60 or even the Mercury 75? Any direction would be great.
