  1. I will let you know if I have any luck with it, it’s supposed to mimic a snake in reality that how they designed it, the 9” needle worms are supposed to be used with it. But my mind went straight to toads for some reason lol. I am thinking about trying some rage tail anacondas on it also.

  4. 1 fish Sunday on a pop x in baby bass along with a couple smaller ones this fish went for 1.60lbs. 1 fish on Monday went to a lake I use to fish more when I lived in allegan county. Visibility was not good a small breeze and between all the boats the water was chocolate milk. Tried the damiki hydra in June bug with a normal slow presentation, nothing. Started retrieving it slowly and caught this one that went 2.92lbs.
  5. I will definitely try that. The best part was I got to watch the bigger fish eat it. Water clarity was good and I was fishing a lot of sunken timber all over. Threw it in to a lay down and was working it through saw the fish come in and killed it then twitched it and he went right to it and ate it.
  6. Got out this morning after work and took my kayak to a lake I had never fished before. I go by it on the highway and look at it and think it’s got to be good in that spot. Only had three hours caught two and missed a couple more. 2 fish total of 6.06lbs, 2.58,3.48lb. Caught them both on a damiki hydra June bug color with a tungsten bullet weight pegged.
  7. I just got the zenon medium light a couple weeks ago, I have a curado bfs on it with 7lb braid. I can cast 1/16 oz rapala original jerk bait with some nasty headwinds pretty far, can go lower on the weight but the wind and that small of braid don’t get along well lol. The rods are definitely good on sensitivity, I have used and owned NRX+, Conquests, GLX, Megabass, poison adrenas. I was a little skeptical paying this much for a abu rod, but so far I have been pleasantly surprised and couldn’t be happier with it. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new setup when you get it.
  8. Well we got some hair jigs, 1/32-1/8 oz mister twister 3” 4” grubs 2 packs chasebaits curly baits 4” 1 pack baby bass Yamamoto 5” grubs 1 pack black 5” senkos 1 pack air tail wigglers 6” watermelon red 4 road runners in 1/4 I like to try random things here and there, I don’t like to relying on the same techniques over and over. I want to be able to have a nice diverse skill set of different presentations, versus being a master of one. Although being really good at one thing can be a great thing too.
  9. Caught some fish today, definitely nothing special by far. Had maybe a hour after grabbing dinner for the family. 1 tiny bass 2 tiny crappie 1 tiny but chunky rock bass jerk bait for everything but the rock bass, that came on a 1/32 black hair jig.
  10. Nothing special really, 1 fish 2.64lbs caught on a jerk bait in the Kalamazoo river in allegan at jaycee park. Funny thing is that a little bit over a year ago I caught a nice smallie out of here. I struggle to catch much here at this location. Was a fun fight on a medium light casting rod with only a maximum of 8lbs of drag, it tried to run up into a channel and got my line hung under the bank lol. I got the fish though ?
  11. Thank you, Yeah I have 3 20 metaniums also, I just really wanted to try the new bantam. Next reel on my radar is the new alderbaren bfs. I just don’t know exactly what place to order it from yet.
  12. Got out Saturday morning after work, nothing special but still a fish. A day that you catch a fish is a good day.
  13. Got a new rod for my curado bfs that I use 7lb braid on, since shimano says you can’t use mono line on the reel☹️. Sorry for the blurry picture on the rod, the rod is a abu garcia xenon 6’9 medium light fast action rated 1/8 -5/8. I didn’t want to pay that much for a abu rod but out of what I could find locally it was the best one of the 3-4 choices I had. I took a hour checking the different rods out and it felt the best to me, did great today with 3.5 grams. Now to go lower and see how it goes. Also I got a few packs of worms, a few jigs, skirts, small plastic swim baits, 1/16 oz jig heads.
  14. Reel monkey got me, one new bantam mgl 150hg A reel. I can’t wait to use it ?
  15. Nothing special but still a fish lol, 2 bass 1.82lbs each. The size is smaller this year in a pond I fish unfortunately ?. Then I caught 2 small pike also, 1 on a frog and 1 on a Ned rig. Both of the bass were caught on a Ned rig. Sorry I only have one picture of the pike. My phone is still acting funny from last Sunday when water got in my waders with my phone in my pocket.
  16. Well I finally remembered to use the scale I bought last year, fish were not big enough for me to be worried about weight. I just wanted to use my scale lol 2 bass, 2.66 lbs, 1.33 lbs 2 pike 3.64 lbs, only weighed one of these. All caught on various squarebills.
  17. A few more things 2 packs airtail wigglers 1 pack shadalicious swimbaits 1 Berkley stunna 1 x rap 3 Duckett spinnerbaits 1 pulsator spinnerbait 1 pack black cherry keitechs I am interested to see how well the Duckett spinnerbaits do, they have a fairly short arm.
  18. Not a bass, although I got one more new rig with a catch on it for the year. Alabama rig, nice little chunky pike 28-30 inches. Didn't want to get too close don't feel like getting stitches today lol. Water was very cold ? 35 degrees out, cheap waders had me feeling every degree.
  19. We will see how they do for me in the morning after work tonight. They definitely seem well built.
  20. Nothing special but some of my first fish of the year, I actually had my scale with me put completely forgot about it till I put the fish back into the water lol. The bigger one of the two came on a watermelon red fat ika, the smaller one came on a 1/16 oz Rapala original in clown.
  21. I have definitely been meaning to try them out, I just finally got around to buying some. They look good for sure.
  22. I finally got some more stuff, along with my license for this year. 3 spro lipless crankbaits 1 spro squarebill in a different pattern 2 spinnerbaits 2 dirty jigs California swim jigs 1 spool of 16lb fluorocarbon 1 pack of 1/8oz hair jigs Should be a good year I hope, I lost a decent bass 2 days ago ? but this early in the season here in Michigan I am definitely happy with my first bass being a good one.
  23. Well I went to look at jigs and got off on a tangent lol, also if you are near the Kalamazoo area of Michigan. D&R sports center has the new expride B rods in stock, 7'11 xh, 7'3 xh, 7 something heavy and a couple more. Today's haul 1 duo realis onimasu, shadow tiger 1 pack megabass 1/16 screw head jigs 1 pack damiki pandla 1/16 jig heads 2 1/4 oz bucktail pro road runners 1 pack G finesse 3/32 tricky heads 1 pack owner ultrahead 1/16 1 pack zoom trick worms wat gold gltr 2 packs finesse worms, blk, wtrm red 1 pack hazedong shad 3' goby 1 pack spark shad purple haze.
  24. I really haven't had the best luck with them, but I like to challenge myself at times. To learn where and when to use certain lures. I enjoy experimenting with different stuff and learning my skills and weaknesses and improving on them.
