  1. Now thats some good stuff. I tell ya I went to the bassmaster elite series weigh in on sunday ... i heard this kid go nutz when he saw IKE.... omg its mike icconelli omg omg its the ike. Great stuff. Its stuff like this that makes our sport keep growing Good to see your doing well LBH ... i just got back from a nice vacation in NY fishing smallies ... (why i havent been on the forums lately) keep them lines tight
  2. I agree with skillet he hit it on the nose for me. One of my favorite plastics now. I often use the Regular Brush Hogs over any others in Bullfrog color hope this helps. Tight Lines
  3. Like Clayton said, fish get used to these surroundings. The only thing that may effect your fishing is the wake from these boats and what not may make the water a little murky. I make my own buzzbaits and ive caught numerous fish. Just don't lose your focus and keep your confidence they will continue to bite. On a side note if you can throw the buzz bait up on shore and come into the water that way it makes the fish believe more in the action of the bait. IE its a snake / frog / mouse or what not. Just my 2 cents
  4. Yum Dingers are wonderful also the bass love them... Tight Lines SteveL
  5. What do you think? Has anyone used them? How do you personally use them? What is your favorite color? I just bought a pack of these thought they looked nice and figured why not. Ill probably just texas rig them and fish them like a normal worm. The color was potato pie .. hehehe .. don't knock it till you tried it ;P it's great SteveL
  6. I can see what *** is say and i don't believe he said anything negative about any company or anyone in particular. I also believe we strided a bit of topic here and think we should return. I saw these baits yesterday in gander mt. I thought about picking up a pack but im really not a big swim bait guy and well not really a big senko guy. Yes i do use them but for the price i can get two bags of Wave Tiki Worms for the same price ... personally ive had great combos with them. For the senkos i use i like watermelon with a red flek , pearl is always good. good luck to ya bud and tight lines SteveL
  7. That is def a great idea. I must say im very intrigued and when you get the stock let me know ill buy a few to try them out. Keep up the good work. SteveL
  8. Very nice fish. I have to agree with every here on the fact that smallies have the best arangement for color. i bet the fight was unbelievable, gosh i can't wait till i head back to NY on sunday where i can do some major smallie fishing Grats again SteveL
  9. Aye nice catches there bud. Keep the pics coming i love to see what others catch . SteveL
  10. Welcome aboard. SteveL
  11. EEK ya i think i would of told him to shove the camera where the sun don't shine ... hehehe but on a side note did you get it lol jk... The worst injury ive ever had i would say is probably when i caught my 46 inch muskie. Like an idiot i figured i could get the lure out without using any pliers, lets just say 3 stitches later and now im using pliers all the time. SteveL
  12. Welcome friend. Tight Lines to ya. SteveL
  13. Ya im also a spinning guy ... i do have a BC but im terrible with it . I can cast over head and side arm ... no flipping or precise casts for me. I carry 5 spinning rods and 1 BC when im on the boat for a tourney. I also carry 2 extra reals and 1 rod in my storage compartment. Anyway good luck with the BC it is def. a challenging art that needs to be honed Tight Lines SteveL
  14. Hey welcome. I fish for smallies a lot in upstate NY and i use mostly cranks. I do have to agree with RW on the fact that live minnows and live frogs work rather well for them. Anyways welcome to the boards and tight lines. SteveL
  15. That is so cool. Grats on the catch. It is def. the same fish which is just amazing in it's own sense. I do have to add i think it is a great thing that your going to lengths end to thank this kid. That is what helps promote the sport we all love and helps it grow in the direction we all desire it to grow. TIGHT LINES ALL SteveL P.S. - I know smallies fight a lot harder than large mouths do. How was the fight on this pig? Im betting it was a good one. Heh ... only fight that would of been extremely crazy would be catching that fish on a ultra light rod/reel combo lol can you imagine...
