  1. Thank you! From what I have been reading I need to pull out about 150lbs of bass so that mission will start this weekend.
  2. Thank you guys! I will take a look at that!
  3. Hey guys! So I am looking for some help trying to revive my pond. It is a little over 5 acres and just about 4-5 years ago we could consistently pull large numbers of fish with a good amount of good 3lb+ mixed in the bunch. The past few years though...absolutely brutal. Struggle to catch more than 10 in a full day of fishing it and they’re all dinks. Now the biggest change of the pond in the past 4 years. Is it is completely filled with vegetation now. Even in the deeper portions they are visible at about 2ft under the surface and the rest of the pond is just miserable to fish. We put around 45 grass carp in last summer and I know that takes at least a couple years until they start making a difference. But could that be the only reason the fish are consistently smaller now? any help or recommendations are appreciated and thank y’all in advance.
  4. The Orochi xx looks so nice. I thought about maybe just doing one really nice rig with an Orochi and the bantam or metanium mgl. But think it would be wiser to widen my lineup.
  5. I have been wanting one for a couple years now and if I were to purchase one it would be on ebay from Japan most likely. But I plan on sticking with a rod at or under $200 and $200 for the reel. I know it is pretty unlikely that I will find a Bantam in that range but one can dream lol. I have a Tatula Elite and like it and was planning on picking up an SV for one of these setups and have found a used curado DC for $170 locally that I will hopefully get for the other setup.
  6. The recon Elite and M1 are some good looking rods any idea on how they compare? Being in the same price range? I was able to get my hands on a zodias yesterday but I couldn’t get over the skinny handle with my large hands.
  7. Honestly these are the two I am leaning towards.. Might do one of these and a bantam MGL then do a cheaper rig for the second.
  8. Which models do you use/ for what applications?
  9. Interesting I will check them out! The 36T is also in my Ark Lancer Pro I believe.
  10. Thanks guys! I forgot about the zodias being in that price range....
  11. Thank you I will check them out!
  12. Hey everybody! As the title says I am in need of a couple new rods. I have my eye on a few but would like some guidance/suggestions. The main few I am considering are: So any suggestions on how these compare would be great 1.) Megabass Levante (perfect pitch, and Diablo) 2.) Daiwa Rebellion 3.) Dobyns Sierra 4.) Elite ELT series (have been able to find nothing on these rods but have had a small discussion with owner and he seems very professional and knowledgeable) I am really looking for a rod at 200 or under one dedicated for jigs, heavy t-rigs, etc, and another all around rod. I have looked at the new Victory series from St.Croix and am waiting for more reviews on those but have not taken them out of the mix. Sort of looking for a brand that I love and want to stick with. Currently have a dobyns Champ extreme hp so have some experience with Dobyns but do not know how the sierra series is. Will be pairing these on either Tatula SV's or Elites. Unless I can find Bantam MGL's at a cheap price. Trying to stay around $400 a rig. Thanks in advance!
