  1. With the bass pro sale coming up. What’s better? Shimano SLX combo listed above for $130 or carbonlite 2.0 combo $180?
  2. Hello, New to the forum but not to fishing. Been fishing for since i was a youngster and now 54 years old. I want to upgrade my equipment for various types of fishing. Current Inventory: (some straggler cheaper stuff) 1) Vengence 6'6 MH Casting Black Max Braid with Floro leader 2) Fenwick ML Moderate (its the green one i think eagle) 6'0 Spin Pflueger President 30 Braid with Floro leader 3) GX2 ugly stick 5'6 Light Spin HT 100 Penn Pursuit II Braid with Floro leader 4) Ugly Stick Old style SPL1100 6'6 Spin Guide Series GS200 Gander Mountain Mono 5) Gander mountain UL IM7 Concept 5'0 (trout set up) Gander mountain Tournament UL Mono 6lb So i fish streams for trout and small rivers/creeks and use #5 for rooster tails and cast masters and small stick baits/rapala I want to start fishing small local lakes from the bank and local ponds from the bank moving forward. i will be fishing sekos and finesse jigs and small swim baits or ?. Most fish/bass i see caught are less than 3 lbs or such. I do fish from a boat very little and when i do it will be jigging for walleye or perch. With that said i will probably trash #4 as it is too heavy for me and pretty old school and does not get used at all. I will keep #2 and #3 as i think they fit some of my applications. #1 i bought on a whim and i think its not the best quality and i hate the drag does not click and is just friction set, just dont like that set up at all. So i guess my question is i would like to add a casting rod or two for fishing from shore as i have a couple of spin setups that seem to work ok. I would fish a variety of baits from worms to seko to jigs to spinner baits or a rapala now etc........Like most when walking around the lake or pond i dont want to carry more than two rods with different baits. So from a cost on the two casting setups looking to stay under $300 for the both of them or maybe you guys might just suggest one casting set up "an all around" set up. I'm open to any ideas including line set up as well.
