  1. Yeah, by 9am, and hasn't updated since lol. Gonna be some giant smallies and bags weighed in today
  2. I'm impressed every single time I hear that stat quite honestly
  3. I'm convinced the best playoff spot is the 3rd wildcard so you can play the winner of the AL Central
  4. Haha, I get it. Every once in a while I get out in the fall and I love it when I do but (for me) nothing is better than being in the woods in the fall. Enjoy less traffic on the water and some fat fall bellies
  5. Feels like it's been a year instead of a month since the last tourney. Who's ready for this weekend?
  6. Back at it last night for another hour and a half. Started off with the PopMax. 0 interest in it and then broke it off. Switched to the buzzbait. Wasn't much happening until I ran it by this tiny little stick protruding from the water in the middle of the pic below. Zoomed in Tiny fish but just showed they hang on to any little piece of cover they can and I enjoyed that. I had 0 action anywhere else until I bumped that stick. Finally figured I'd tie on the TRig and get to work. Got out my assortment of worms and was ready to rip some lips! Unfortunately, my excitement was short lived. Cast after cast of not even a nibble. Switching worms. Switching colors. Then I was stupid and careless and got quite possibly the worst birds nest of my life. The kind where you just put it away to deal with at another time. The kind that make you question why the heck you even go out and sweat your butt off while getting eaten alive to catch some stinky stupid tiny fish. Yeah, I wasn't very happy with the evening, but figured I should fish on so I switched to a wacky worm. Caught another little one. Fished it a bunch more and was not having much luck. My dog was not pleased with me that he only got to smell two tiny fish lol so I told him I'd get him one more. Finally got one that, while not much bigger, put on a much better fight. Peeled some drag and felt some head shakes. It was fun and took away the evenings frustrations. I won't be able to get out many more times this year. Starting to coach our high school football team, plus my sons flag football team, plus hunting starts in about 50 days... who's counting?! Hoping I can just get the kids out once more at least. Good luck to everyone else this summer. Keep catching giants, and most importantly, having fun!
  7. This year I have not wanted to slow down and fish a TR, WR, or jig much. Having to post these dinks after @Pat Brown pig may make me change that lol. The pond I fish has become flush with algae and the fishing is tough. Just been wanting to fish fast and enjoy the blowups in the limited time I have. Got out for about an hour last night and wanted to start in the mucky corner. Buzzbait was a disaster in there so I figured I'd work under it and try the sleeper. Caught this little guy on the 1st cast. That was it for the sleeper. One thing I've learned about this pond is they don't like white buzzbaits but that's all I've got right now til I restock. It wasn't getting it done so I switched the trailer to black and blue. Instant success Stuck 3 on that until the sun was down and the bugs were up. Dragging a worm next time!
  8. Yup, that was worth it ?
  9. Gonna be real interesting to see what that FO does at the deadline
  10. Hadn’t been out in far too long, probably about a month. Finally changed that last night with an hour and a half long outing. Wasn’t expecting much as the weather has been awful and all over the place lately. Glad I still went. Started with the s-waver as it was already tied on and worked it along a grass line. Got to watch this football of a 2.5 pounder t-bone it. That was fun. Worked that some more with no luck and then switched to the buzzbait. My favorite lure on hot summer days. Walked over to the little shaded pocket and made a few casts. On my 3rd or 4th one I got crushed. She dove down under the grass and was not happy at all about the dude pulling on the other end of the line. Hardest bass fight I’ve felt and I thought for sure I had my PB. Finally winched her out and got her on dry ground and she was starting to shrink as I pulled the grass off her. I still don’t understand how she didn’t break my PB. Longest fish I’ve caught at nearly 21” but sure as heck didn’t look like @Bluebasser86 fish (congrats btw!). She was tall but just not beefed up. Pics don’t do her justice. Really bummed when I put her on the scale and got 4.4 but it was a lot of fun and I couldn’t have asked for more when I debated even going out. Beau approved. Very next cast I threw that buzzbait into a tree never to be seen again. Ahhh the roller coaster ride that is fishing lol. Caught a couple more on the wacky rig as the sun set before I called it an evening.
  11. So you're friend was paying $24/hour before but offering $18/hour now? Offer the $24 and find a more qualified worker. Costs more to hire than retain.
  12. Same here but code red for us
  13. Everybody covered it above. Your color bleed will probably depend on temps as well. If they're not going to be hot it'll take longer for that to happen. Enjoy!
  14. You can hold it together way more than me, man. A couple Thanksgivings ago I was drilling into some brick. Drill bit snapped as I had all my body weight behind it and I put the bit smack dab through the middle of my hand. Only thing that kept me from passing out was the fact that I had the presence of mind to grab the sink as I was about to hit the floor and that kept me awake. Luckily I somehow missed all the important stuff in that area of my hand. I blame it all on having kids. Ever since my wife got pregnant with the first I'm way more sensitive about anything like that. Before kids I would have been trying to examine what makes up the inside of my hand and trying to complete the drill job without heading to the doc lol. Congrats on all the fish and staying calm and collected
  15. I’m sure he’s not happy with how today went but a 22nd will help in the long run
  16. Some smallll bags man they're struggling so far
  17. He said it was the worst practice he's had. Did you see the giant flathead he caught?
  18. It's PB so people lose their s*** lol. Plus they've got a good variety of colors
  19. https://www.bassmaster.com/tournament/2023-st-croix-bassmaster-open-at-lake-eufaula-oklahoma/
  20. Any suggestions from anyone on what you'd throw on their 6'8" Med/Fast? Broke my 7'0" med/mod Okuma EVX the other day and need a replacement. Basically just want an all around treble hook rod
  21. Everybody ready for Eufaula?
  22. This one has to be 25-30 pounds and I don't see it being easy to fold up and carry around but it's perfect for a spot where you can just get it out of the truck and blow her up relatively quickly. Little 2 pounders were still moving the boat around with ease. Heck, I could use my spinner bait as a make shift trolling motor if I reeled it right lol I don't own the pond but I've fished it here and there for about 25 years. One of my dads friends farm pond. There's some pigs in it but they've been super hard to come by lately
