  1. Agree with the 7' MH SLX rod. Good all around rod and suits that reel perfectly
  2. FG when prepping at home, double uni on the boat like OP.. if it ain't broke...
  3. I have a couple I use for dual purpose... that is.. until the rod collection increases lol. Shimano SLX 610M- jerkbaits and poppers Simano Zodias 7ftML- Ned and dropshot Megabass Levante Tour Versatile- jigs and Texas rigs
  4. Yep. ML for light jerkbaits. Zodias line is pretty stout
  5. Love the zodias but they feel a power over what they are rated... MH feels like a H. Go with the Mh
  6. If I'm on the water for 2 hours without a bite and all of a sudden a bass decides to join me in the boat (even if it's just a 1lb fish), you best believe he's gettin sum lovin. 1- Blow kiss to bass 2- Remind him to "Go tell his friends" 3- Release fish ....Sometimes it works ?
  7. Standing most of the time. I'll start sitting when I'm frustrated that I can't find fish ?
  8. Split grips are a must for me... I just don't like the feeling of a full handle. As far as cork or EVA, I have both. May try the winn grips at some point.
  9. Pedal went on mine as well.. Ended up going with the CoPilot attachment and never thought about getting a new footpedal after that.
  10. I use the same for chatterbaits and spinnerbait.. I see them as the same.
  11. Usually jumping between jerkbaits and light topwater
  12. I find the tour versitale perfect for setting the hook on Jigs What do you use it for? I'm thinking about this as my next purchase
  13. 7' is my go-to for t-rigs and Jigs.. Seems like a good compromise in accuracy and leverage on the fish
  14. I like 12lb big game for mono leader.. Mostly used on topwater poppers for its stretch
  15. #1 inline spinner... I've caught everything with a small Mepps
  16. Like everyone else in this thread, I pretty much use them all year long - you just need to alter your colors and retrieve speed. I'll alter the retrieve speed until the fish show me what they want. quicker = summer months
  17. Can't go wrong with the Levante or Zodias IMO. Have both and love them ?
  18. I have the same issue. I pull my trailered jon boat with an SUV and often get stuck at lakes with no docks.. into the water I go. I think I'll be taking a looking at buying some hip waders this season. Will definitely prevent that uncomfortable feeling of driving home with soaked pants ?
  19. Following.. I have the exact same questions with the same list of options on my "future boat" list. Bump for some input from the community ?
  20. Weather permitting.. Saturday I'll give you my first impressions ?
  21. The Levante lineup was redesigned from the ground up to fix the issue they had with the 2019s (and even then the breakage issue was a very small percentage). I'd feel confident knowing that they made sure to get this one right. I recently purchased a the Levante tour versitale (I like the 7ft for jigs) and it looks/feels awesome
  22. Marine Blue Braid on 2 casting rods Chartreuse green braid on 1 spinning/ 1 casting Red braid on 1 spinning I like to matchy match line to setup ? All paired up with either FC leaders or Mono leaders depending on the type of fishing I am doing.
