I have a couple I use for dual purpose... that is.. until the rod collection increases lol.
Shimano SLX 610M- jerkbaits and poppers
Simano Zodias 7ftML- Ned and dropshot
Megabass Levante Tour Versatile- jigs and Texas rigs
If I'm on the water for 2 hours without a bite and all of a sudden a bass decides to join me in the boat (even if it's just a 1lb fish), you best believe he's gettin sum lovin.
1- Blow kiss to bass
2- Remind him to "Go tell his friends"
3- Release fish
....Sometimes it works ?
Split grips are a must for me... I just don't like the feeling of a full handle. As far as cork or EVA, I have both. May try the winn grips at some point.
Like everyone else in this thread, I pretty much use them all year long - you just need to alter your colors and retrieve speed. I'll alter the retrieve speed until the fish show me what they want.
quicker = summer months
I have the same issue. I pull my trailered jon boat with an SUV and often get stuck at lakes with no docks.. into the water I go. I think I'll be taking a looking at buying some hip waders this season. Will definitely prevent that uncomfortable feeling of driving home with soaked pants ?
The Levante lineup was redesigned from the ground up to fix the issue they had with the 2019s (and even then the breakage issue was a very small percentage).
I'd feel confident knowing that they made sure to get this one right. I recently purchased a the Levante tour versitale (I like the 7ft for jigs) and it looks/feels awesome
Marine Blue Braid on 2 casting rods
Chartreuse green braid on 1 spinning/ 1 casting
Red braid on 1 spinning
I like to matchy match line to setup ?
All paired up with either FC leaders or Mono leaders depending on the type of fishing I am doing.
