  1. bumping this thread but Garmin says 1.72A average for UHD2 9". You might be looking at UHD not UHD2.
  2. its garmins own website. navionics.com doesnt have a download for whatever reason. also no sale on the map either. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/794377/pn/010-D1893-20
  3. Sounds like the install/installer identifies the card so maybe no installing on a second card when lost but I'd really just have to ask Garmin. Not there really is much chance of losing a card though figured I'd ask the forum while Garmin was off on the weekend. Navionics for Garmin fish finders is actually different from other-than-Garmin fish finders. I bought a Garmin 93SV UHD2 & US east charts for download so that I have both ocean & lakes. I read a little on their website and it looks like I probably need my own card to update to the new mapping I bought, but I have not opened the box or read directions on the UHD2. When you go to buy charts for a Garmin device, the last option is for a download or micro sd.
  4. When buying Garmin Navionics charts for a Garmin fish finders specifically, is there a difference between the micro sd and download option? As far as I know, losing the preloaded card means you have to buy it again. The other option is a download for the same price but to your own card. I think a download sounds better, because if you lose your card, you can just buy another micro sd and download again...unless Garmin has some blocks in place to prevent that. Anyone have any idea?
  5. Hey, When plugging in my foot pedal to my Minn Kota trolling motor and screwing the connectors together, the connector kind of broke. Trolling motor is a 45lb Powerdrive V2. The 7 pin connector out of the trolling motor is what broke, where there is sort of a retaining ring that keeps the threaded part on the plug. In one of my pictures you can see the black ring that broke off the body of the plug. The connection with the o-ring keeps it sealed, so it would be nice to fix this. I will have to tape it for now if going in the salt. I called Minn Kota to see if I could get a replacement cord, but it comes as part of the control board. Epoxying the retaining ring would risk the threaded ring getting stuck to it because the threaded ring will not slide back over the cable. Any ideas on fixing this? How it's supposed to look all together:
  6. Hi guys, First post here. I got my first boat(used) end of 2019 and fished various CT lakes over 2020. It is a Lund WC14 tiller with yamaha 25, bow trolling motor, depth finder. I was thinking of trying for stripers on the CT river this spring, but not experienced on the river so not sure if my boat can handle it or not. I was only on the river once in recent times(last year), on a friend's 17' center console for a short ride in the Portland area. My boat is not big by any means at 14'-6" and my main concern is other boat traffic throwing bigger wakes. There can be some big boats out there. I was wondering if anyone with experience on the river could weigh in. I was mainly thinking about the Middletown area, Haddam Meadows, or even the mouth of the river. Thanks
