I keep meaning to get smack down in 40 or 50lbs in heavy cover. It’s strong?

The ‘22 is that much better than the 18?? I just got the 18 bantams because the ‘22 are still over $250 cdn when I got all my 3 bantams used for under $130cdn.. I’ll eventually get a ‘22 but I’m finding I prefer the bantams over my zillions… 🤫

They are tanks! I have one already and now I just got these 2. The XG model has an aftermarket spool I wasn’t aware of when purchasing. Shimano Yumeya Shallow MGL Spool. I think it holds enough 50lbs braid. Supposed to hold 100m/12lbs mono. Seems to be a 70 size spool. I guess I’ll have to give it a go.

No idea. They cost me $130cdn ($91USD) so I couldn’t pass that up but I believe they’re the same.

Shimano is overpriced But so far my fav are my Bantam MGLs. Quite possibly my Antares 70 once I use it this year.

What’s the benefits on braid? I used a line conditioner on braid one time (bottle said it was ok for braid). I think it was ardent line butter or something and it separated all the strands and pretty much ate up the braid so I’ve never tried line conditioner on a braid again. I threw out the bottle right away and never again. Now I use Reel Snot or KVD. Whatever I can get ahold of.

Yes. I figured Japan. I meant what place. I placed an order from Japan a month ago and it’s been sitting in customs for weeks now and until now it’s always been in and out right away.

Reel Snot makes scented line conditions. Coffee scented and garlic scent.

For those with experience with both lineups of rods. What Victory model would be comparable to the Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch model?

I bought mine new and the line size dial is a hassle to move so I don’t even bother with it.

I fish with the plastic wrap and tags on as well too great looking combo. I really want to try the rod. Not sure what one to get

Ok. I have mixed feelings with mine. I’ll see if it changes this season. I have it on a Megabass destroyer Go-Ten 5’10 MH rod for jigs, swim jigs and topwater in close quarters

What do you use your 80s for?

sorry you did ask earlier on and I totally forgot to reply. the Zillion SV I’ve used for 3 seasons straight and it’s always with me. I use it with 12lbs yozuri hybrid and throw everything I can on it and it’s still a great reel. It’s a real do everything reel. The new Tat 100 I have time on it from last season and it feels like my tatula elite and zillion smooth. I used it for everything, really good workhorse reel. The zillion HD I used for frogs (not going to this year) and t-rigs in grass and chatterbaits in grass. It’s like the zillion sv but just cranked up a notch. The tatula 80 I used it for smaller t-rigs and senkos and it’s a good solid little reel. Very smooth but I felt it didn’t cast as well as I had hoped. I also tried it for jerkbaits and topwater baits as well and I just didn’t find the sweet spot for it. I took it apart and flushed all the bearings and greased it all back up for this season and I’ll try it out again. In all fairness i didn’t give it much of an honest effort. My buddy has a couple of the tat 80s and he loves them and uses them as workhorse reels and he can launch a bait with them. So it must be me.

That victory rod is amazing. It’s one of my fav rods and always with me when I go fishing. I have it with a zillion SV using 12lbs YZH and it’s awesome. Going to try my Antares 70 on it this year.
