  1. It would definitely be a spinning combo, and i would get a 7 ft MH rod with a 2500 size spinning reel. No brand loyalties yet!
  2. Yes, I would also teach my dad to catch more fish, and since he didn't catch very much, I think he doesn't really like fishing anymore. If I could help him catch fish, then maybe now he would've liked fishing.
  3. I only have 3 main bass rod/reel combos, 2 spinning and 1 baitcasting and they all use 15-20 braid with 12 pound leader. It's not ideal, but I haven't gotten into techniques like swimbaiting, frogging, or punching. I am gonna diversify though! But for now, I know what I have on.
  4. After fishing I'll usually just go home, especially if my parents have to pick me up, but I'll also switch to UL fishing for Panfish from time to time.
  5. I would go back a year and tell myself to not let another kid catch a 6-pounder when I would’ve hooked him.
  6. Welcome to the site!
  7. I have always loved fishing by myself and walking between the 3 lakes in my Grandma's subdivision. I like fishing with my friends more now, but sometimes I just wanna be by myself when I fish.

  9. Sadly, there is about a 0.00001% chance of me catching a DD bass in my state. But I do want to break my PB of 4 1/2 pounds, and I've seen (And hooked and lost) some 5-pounders. Maybe soon I'll get one in!

  12. She lives in Culver,on the lake, and I hope to visit the lake this summer if I go down there! I've caught a 3-3 1/2 pounder from her dock and a giant rock bass!
  13. That would be very cool to go to, but unfortunately I am too young to drive, and the drive would be 16 hours and 20 minutes, so I have about a 0% chance of going.
  14. Your tourney is probably done now, but are you talking about Lake Maxincuckee? When I visit my Aunt Grandma, I only fish for Largemouth there, and I've caught and hooked some big ones there in the past. I've heard there is good Walleye and Smallmouth fishing, but I'm stuck from shore.
  15. I still fished this weekend, and when I went fishing from a dock wit my friend, I only saw like 5 boats out during my whole fishing trip. They usually slowed down in front of us, too! So for me it wasn't too busy out this weekend. Normally it is very crowded though.
  16. I use texas-rigged lures a lot, especially texas rigged senkos, weighted and unweighted. They produce lots of fish for me, and on my "home" lake, they especially will bite it on some days.

  18. The picture is messed up. The hook is perfectly intact.
  19. I caught my 2nd Northern Pike ever yesterday! Went out at a different place and couldn’t get anything today tho. The place that I fished yesterday was a brand-new spot to me!
  20. It was only 4 years ago, and I still can’t remember! I think it was either on a worm or on a weightless senko.
  21. You never know... I've never bought these type of hooks before, so I know they aren't mine. I use EWG hooks instead of these.
  22. I found this fishing hook in the hallway of my school! Maybe I am not the only person that likes fishing in my school. I’m keeping this hook, it seems like a decent hook to me.
  23. The 7'0 light would be a little bit bigger and stiffer than the UL, but it works great! Good sensitivity, enough backbone to pull in the occasional big trout, I've flipped a pound and a half bullhead over a dock without it breaking although I was rushing it so I wouldn't try it, and it is light-weight. It's good, and I highly recommend it.
  24. I wish that I could even fish for Smallmouths more than once this year. I haven't had time this spring to go all the way to the river, or I went Largemouth Fishing. Hopefully I go this weekend though.
