    I caught my first ever Lake Trout this weekend in Lake Michigan! I also caught some mini Brown Trout and some tiny Rainbow Trout.

    Yesterday I caught this big pike! Unfortunately he inhaled all 3 hooks of my jerkbait, so he may have died. I caught this bass as well!

    I caught this pretty big bass on the kayak today! I also caught the other fish while I was wading in a similar spot earlier today. It was windy, but very warm out.

    I caught my Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass PB on a deep-diving perch colored Shadow Rap! The Largemouth PB was around 4.5 lbs.

    Biggest bass of 2022! I caught it in a new spot, which is a small pond by my friends house.

    First Brook and Rainbow Trout that I have caught! I caught this Brook Trout and a few more of them in North Carolina and the Rainbow Trout in Kentucky.

    Jig because I also fish from shore, and the place where I fish the most is a silt bottom that is easy to stir up. Idk if you are supposed to do that with jigs, but I just avoid jigs at that spot altogether.

    I got these 2 fish today while wading the stream by my grandmas house. It feels good catching some fish again while wading!

    The stream isn't exactly secret since I posted my 1st response, so I found a small pond in the back of my grandma's house that is only really accessible by wading. And in July, in that lake I got the big fish I was looking for in that area!

    I am currently a Sophomore in high school, and I haven’t skipped school for anything yet. And the closest body of water is a trout stream 3 miles away.

    I broke my PB bass twice, caught my PB smallmouth, caught more 3 pounders than ever and gained a ton of knowledge about how to fish and where to fish. So I can safely say that I have the best fishing year out of the last 4 years of fishing.

    Nice job! I wish there was a high school bass-fishing club in my school, but there isn't, and I don't want to do tournaments yet. And here is the one bass that wasn't under 8 inches that I caught yesterday.

    The cold front that happened in Kalamazoo, Michigan and the surrounding area a few days ago kinda messed up the fishing for me this weekend, but I ended up getting 4 bass, 2 on a wacky rig and 2 on a black buzzbait at night! Nothing huge, but it felt good to catch a fish for the first time in a week!

    I just think fishing itself is a fun sport in general, and since I am relatively new to it, I always like to try new things and get more knowledge than I have now.

    I caught my PB Smallmouth Bass on a dock with a deep-diving jerkbait so I can say I think there is nothing better!
