  1. Welcome to the site!
  2. Ok. I have a 6'6 medium baitcaster, so I'm good with that. I'll probably use half of my 133 bucks to get the beginning med light combo, although my medium Ugly Stik Elite is more like a Med light, so for now I should be fine. I just need a reel.
  3. I've always fished with a right handle, and I'm right handed. It's really your preference. Try it out in the store and see if it is right for you. And x2 on the Black Max combo.
  4. I don't know my exact break time, but before I discovered that Trout in my local creek bit during winter, than probably the months November-February. But now I usually go almost every week, sometimes 3 days a week if I'm lucky!
  5. At my Grandma's condo system in the woods, I swear I see a group of deer every time I go there! They aren't that scared of us, but I still keep my distance.
  6. 10 pound braid on a 7 foot light action is very fun! Tangled it at least 4 times! But when it doesn't tangle, I like it for catching fish, especially with a 6-pound Seaguar leader!
  7. I just had my birthday party at my Mom's house, and I cannot wait to use all of my birthday money to buy lures! I can buy a ton, especially since I got lots of birthday money! And also the season seems to also be early for me since I am in Michigan.
  8. When I fished for Brown Trout on my ultralight and I hooked one that was around a pound in my local creek, it fought really hard! Maybe they just fight harder where I live.
  9. Running is pretty fun for me. This past year, I've been in Cross-Country, Track, and I ran over 10 miles last summer, the longest run was 11.3! But other than running and playing on my phone, there is nothing else that I really do besides fishing.
  10. I don't currently play any battle royale games, but I most recently played Fortnite with my little brother, so Fortnite.
  11. The Black Max reel is very good especially for ~50, but I immediately switched the rod for a 6'6 Fenwick Eagle, so IDK about the rod at all.
  12. I need to respool my Black Max because I have been using it so much that the line is pretty low. And it's still smooth and quiet. Like earlier, I highly recommend it for beginner baitcasting.
  13. Like many others have said, a Med or a Med-Heavy are good if you only need one rod. I like 7' for rods, but it's ultimately your choice.
  14. Will try it with my birthday money. Thank you everyone! I will give someone a checkmark if I get a big one.
  15. Yes I am fortunate to have the internet today. Let's hope that fishing will still be my hobby when I am older. And my next baitcaster may be an SLX, if I want one.
  16. I am a high-schooler, so... 1. Circles-Post Malone 2. Save your Tears-The Weeknd 3. Going Bad- Drake feat. Meek Mill
  17. Nice. My grandpa doesn't really fish, but every once in a while he does. My dad doesn't really fish either, so I learned pretty much by myself. But the Revo seems fine. I don't know what my next baitcaster's gonna be, but I'd say that it could be an Abu Garcia.
  18. I don't know any local stores in Pennsylvania, but here is the best I could come up with. And now it's 54 dollars. It's probably been updated since this, which is my Black Max(2019 model) https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-ABUREELS.html?from=basres
  19. No problem. I visit Cleveland every once in a while, so maybe I'll see that lake! And if this works, then fish it.
  20. I'm a bit late, but I love my Black Max, especially for only 40$. I recommended this reel to my friend who might start baitcasting soon, so I really like it. It catches bass for me!
  21. I have not given up on really any lures yet except for topwater lures. But if I try the topwater and catch a big fish, then that will be my 2nd-chance bait.
  22. Bank fishing, although I can wade with my waders if I have time.
  23. I know there isn't any blue catfish in Michigan. Which is very sad. I want to catch one, but I guess that just isn't going to happen unless I travel out-of-state
  24. What he said^
  25. Jeez, that smallie could eat my PB smallie! I hope that this year I can get a big bronzeback in Michigan!
