  1. I’ve noticed it works well like that in the Great Lakes region like where I was fishing on that day because of all the gobies around there.
  2. I was just dragging and bouncing it off the bottom relatively close to the shore and it hit.
  3. New personal best Smallmouth Bass today! I got em on a Megabass Dark Sleeper, and it is nice to be back on the site after a hiatus.
  4. I caught a Michigan Master Angler crappie today! He was really close to 15 inches, and the master angler requirement is 14 inches. I also caught a small bass that wanted the Vision 110.
  5. Wow, it has been a while since I’ve been on this website. Last Thursday I went to a new spot and caught two big ones on a wacky-rigged senko! The first one was weighted to be 4.2 pounds and measured a little over 19 inches, and the second one was around 3.25 pounds!
  6. I caught these 2 Smallmouth Bass today, as well as catching my first Walleye!
  7. I caught my first Coho Salmon ever today! I was fishing with a red and yellow Panther Martin spinner when I saw a few Salmon. I casted it over and he ate it!
  8. Luckily I haven't actually lost a PB Bass this year, but one day this summer I was fishing a spot on the Kalamazoo River. There was a pretty large laydown in the river, and I threw my spinnerbait in the pool right behind it. Suddenly, I hooked a pretty big Smallmouth Bass. It was only around 2 pounds, but I have only caught a couple of Smallmouth around that weight, and when he came off, I was pretty disappointed in myself. Another lost fish story that I have is that of my possible first Salmon/Steelhead. I was fishing a crappie tube on my ultralight rod in a stream around St. Joe, MI, and I saw a giant fish, maybe around 25-26 inches just sitting around. I cast my lure at him for around 10-20 minutes, and eventually I got the perfect cast right in front of him. He ate it, and the creek exploded with jumps and runs. Since I have personally never hooked a fish that big, I didn't really know how to fight him on my ultralight, and as I was fighting him, he broke off. It stung for a bit, but it also gave me some experience on how to fight bigger fish!
  9. Here are some pike that I caught today! I caught one of them on a spinnerbait, and I caught the other one on a small Rapala X-Rap. Bigger one was around 22 inches, and the smaller one was probably 18 inches.
  10. I went out on the kayak today, and I got this 2.33 pounder and 4 more bass! The clouds really helped out the bite today!
  11. My new night fishing PB! I couldn’t get my scale or tape measure on him because it was pitch black, but I guess he was around 3-3.5 lbs. I also caught a few more fish, all dinks.
  12. Good strategies! Luckily I have a scale now, so next time I get a big one I can weigh it!
  13. Here are my PBs! I actually caught these fish right before I got my tape measure and scale, so I do not know which one is bigger. First one was from Ludington, and the second one is from Kalamazoo.
  14. Definitely this bass that I caught in the early spring! It was in my local glacial lake on a jerkbait.
  15. July 23rd at 11:51 am! It was partly cloudy and I’d say around 78 or so degrees.
  16. I caught this decent crappie yesterday on a Vision 110!
  17. I caught my new Kalamazoo PB bass! I think that it was in the 4.5-5 pound range! Also caught a 3 pounder and 2 others.
  18. I sightfished this nice Bowfin today! On the Zoom Super Fluke
  19. I caught my biggest smallmouth from the Kalamazoo River yesterday! I also caught some other Smallmouth and some pike as well.
  20. Thanks! And yeah, that is what I also thought. Unfortunately I haven’t bought a tape measure yet, but I will next time I go to the tackle shop.
  21. Welcome to Bassresource from Portage!
  22. Thanks! I don’t know if it is actually 5, so could you guys say how much you think? The pic is kinda bad though.
  23. New PB! I’d say over 5 pounds!
  24. Yeah that is what I thought too until I tried it out.
