I purchased four BASS MAFIA BAIT COFFIN 3700s for terminal tackle storage (note, not the Terminal Coffin, just the std 3700 Coffin). Most expensive tackle storage I've ever purchased.
The good news is that it is also the best terminal storage I've found. SMALL hooks do sometimes "migrate" between dividers. But, overall, I've never found a better solution.
The bad news? Every single one of them has now broken. Mostly hinges (which I've taken the time to replace after purchasing replacements from BM) but also the "arms" on the lids that hold the hinges. These cannot be repaired. I don't know if I got a "bad batch" or something but this is just unacceptable. Especially at this PREMIUM price. Yes, I've reached-out to BM. After several attempts to reach someone I was told that they're out of warranty and there's nothing they're willing to do.
I do NOT abuse my tackle. In fact, I own several DOZEN Plano Stowaway 3700s. I've had ONE of those fail in the same time period and that is because it took an untimely jump from my deck onto the garage floor below).
So, my question... Is there another good terminal tackle storage solution on the market the y'all have been using - ideally in a "3700" size? My Plano Stowaway 3700s are great for everything BUT terminal tackle because of migration between compartments. VERY eager for feedback/input.
