  2. Garmin, the new update made livescope so clear. Compared to other units, garmin is the clearest.
  3. We have a winner! Has he even won an event? Second at Guntersville and the 2019 classic, but what else?!
  4. Betcha can’t guess what Zaldain said he was gonna go do on Hartwell.
  5. I like this idea. Especially if you’re gonna use one of the rods for frogging.
  6. http://www.realpreyswimbaits.com/store/p15/RP_10"_Trout.html Yup, this should be what you’re looking for^
  7. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Hope y’all stay safe and continue to fee better.
  8. These are awesome! I like the diawa steez and the chatter bound socks best! I bet you could sell these no problem... Let’s see them on the rods now!
  9. If I was gonna go buy a devils horse combo right now, this is what I’d get: 7.2:1 baitcaster 6’10 Medium fast 30 pound braid Back your drag down, like @roadwarrior said, and you’ll be golden. Enough drag to set the hook and keep ‘em pinned, while being able to compensate for the surges of a fighting fish.
  10. My buddy gave me the one he had, since all the latches broke off ? My buddy gave me the one he had, since all the latches broke off ? He replaced it with this: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano_Rustrictor_Box_3700_Thin/descpage-PR37T.html
  11. Split grip foam is my first choice. If the rod has nicer cork, I’ll go with that second. I hate winn grips, so it isn’t very likely I’ll get a rod with winn grips. Like DVT said, my hands rarely make contact with the grips, so it isn’t the biggest deal. I only touch touch the butt end grips when casting. I palm my reels.
  12. Nice job! First fish of the year, with @Bluebasser86
  13. Awesome, getting to be that time!
  14. @TnRiver46 @WRB @A-Jay @Glenn Anyone else who wants to share a boat. I really enjoy sharing a boat with @Bluebasser86, whenever I can. Pro's Brandon Paulinuk Partrick Walters Kyle Welcher Mark Zona Seth Feider
  15. I’ll throw a white swim jig in the same place I throw bluegill colored one. Personally I’ve had more success with a white swim jig than anything. I’ve got a lot of confidence in a swim jig, but right now I’d be throwing a smaller spinnerbait. Slow rolling a spinnerbait seems to be more effect in the colder water, in any cover, and really any other time of year. Swim jig seems to shine in grass or wood and warmer water.
  16. Suspending or sinking a little bit in late fall-winter- early spring. Doesn’t matter the rest of the time.
  17. X3 This is my frog reel, gets the job done, but it isn’t pretty, makes a ton of noise when casting, https://www.amazon.com/Piscifun-Torrent-18LB-7-1-Baitcasting/dp/B07149KWVR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3LEJ1I7FS8GC9&keywords=piscifun+baitcasting+reel&qid=1645836654&sprefix=piscifun%2Caps%2C327&sr=8-3
  18. Not a bad idea^ I like @roadwarrior’s suggestion too. A M/ Moderate, 7.2:1 reel with 30 pound braid, for poppers, spooks, and ploppers.
  19. In box under all the rest of the tackle, after I harvest the good split rings and hooks. However, brass and shells I shot with my grandpa are siting on a 100+ year old piece of barnwood. The 12x18 barn wood came from one of my dads buddies, that has a little 3 inch plastic trout mounted in the middle of it. Might put some of the old lures I’ve got on the piece of barnwood.
  20. #65 Braid for frogging and flipping water willow and grass Mono rarely for topwater leader, and occasionally for cranking when I can’t get any fluoro. Fluoro for everything else...
  21. 2- 7' Hvy fast actions I would go with 20 Fluoro, 14 is too light for me, with a heavy rod. I feel like this is asking to break off. My 7’2 heavy flipping rod has 20 pound fluoro, and is perfect for flipping a jig around docks, bushes, rocks, etc. 1-7' mh xtra fast I use 15 fluoro on my jig rod with similar specs. You can throw just about any jig up to 1/2 ounce on this combo. 1-7'4” I like the straight braid idea. Might go 50 pound braid with a 20 pound fluoro leader.
  22. Awesome! Congrats!
  23. Awesome! Love me some whiskey myers!
