  1. One of my favorite songs^^
  2. Had our final in state division tourneys of the year, held at Glen Elder and Wilson lake. Both lakes fished really tough, only 3-4 limits, out of 70 boats, weighed in over the two tournaments. Water temps were chilly, we didn’t see anything over 45* where we were fishing. The first tourney at Glen Elder was tough for us. We only weighed two fish that tourney, but good enough for a 10th place finish! We thought this would qualify us for state, but weren’t sure. I caught my PB smallie, at 3.5. My buddy caught a 16 inch largemouth, and that was our bag for the day. Tough day of fishing, but a good finish. Had 5.5 pounds for 2 fish. My PB smallie, and the largemouth my partner caught: The next day, at Wilson was a lot better for us. However, it was really tough. We fished from 745 to 10 without a bite. Then, we were fishing down a do-nothing bank, when we saw a shad bust, and I made a cast and caught our first keeper and second biggest fish of our bag. Then my partner caught our second keeper and his personal best smallmouth, at 4.5 pounds. Next, I caught three more keepers to fill out our limit. My partner proceed to cull out those keepers of those keepers, making our smallest fish a 16 inch smallie. I threw a magdraft for awhile, trying to catch a kicker, but couldn’t get another bite on anything from 11 to check in at 3:40. We went to weigh-in thinking we could make get a top fifteen, since 23 pounds had won an adult tourney the day before. We weighed in the first, and only limit of the day, and won the tourney by a couple pounds!! We weighed 15 pounds and some change.
  3. Pad crashers are my frog of choice. Walking for mats and scum. Popping frogs for more open water, around cattails too. Cheap and durable. When I get bit on a frog, I reel down fast, wait till I feel tension and see the line moving a little bit, then I swing for the fences. I catch about 85% of my fish doing it this way.
  4. You’ll want a Heavy/fast baitcasting rod, and a 7.1:1-8.1:1 baitcasting reel. Most people use 40-65 pound braid for frogging. I go with 50-65. Braid has almost no stretch, making it easier to bury the big hooks on a frog. The high pound test allows you to get a fish out of anywhere you’re fishing. Here’s a video on frog fishing, https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-fish-frogs-video.html
  5. Welcome to the forum! Some people like em like that. However, I’m not one of them. I catch plenty of fish rigging it paddle down.
  6. Sorry for your loss.
  7. Thats fantastic! 10 for sure
  8. Sounds like you’re only catching one fish or snag. Hat and a jerkbait for me.
  9. When is the Evergreen sponsorship coming?!
  10. Me too. A-jay went from selling the whole jackhammer to selling the bait keeper!
  11. I like this idea a lot. This will be one of the next reels I buy, besides shimanos. However, if the Tat is what you like go with that!
  12. If a bait can make it from the store to the truck without getting opened, I bought a lot of stuff and didn’t have time to get to that bait yet. Extra baits get hung on a peg board, by their hooks, cause the packaging got destroyed in the opening process.
  13. Never sleep on BP. He’s gonna be on my fantasy for the rest of the season.

  16. Wow, congrats! That’s a giant bag!
  17. Ha! Durable too, I’ve sat on mine a couple times and they’re going strong.
  18. Their sunglasses are pretty good. Been using them for fishing and baseball. Their scale isn’t bad either.
  19. 7’6 MH/F 7.1:1 Reel 50-65 pound braid. Booyah walking/popping pad crasher I set the hook once my line gets tight to the fish, don’t lose a whole lotta frog fish doing that.
  20. Nope, that frog needs new hooks. Asking to lose fish by throwing a frog without barbs.
  21. All of them. Mine has caught fish in chocolate milk and clear water too. Table Rock Special became one of my favorite colors for jerkbaits. My vision 110 in TBS has caught more fish than any lure I own.
  22. The swimbaits are upside down! Picked up my second 110+1 jr yesterday, solid little jerkbaits!
  23. ?? Took four or five shots from the airsoft gun before he finally played dead, hunkered under the back porch.
