  1. 10xd needs a deep crank rod 8xd you can get away with a little lighter setup
  2. anything moderate action probably falcon has some good ones and st croix has that 7'4 glass spinning rod
  3. the four inchers in bought are perfectly aligned.. when they did the mold for the 5" they are ducked up across several brands with the tail of the mold sitting ~1.5 cm down with a flat offset from the rest of the mold like they did not align it properly. i just want to fish a fluke on a dead drop vmc with a 7'2h poison and 50 lb braid give me a break..
  4. well im thoroughly upset so far. it turns out by my judgement that big bites baits and scheels so far get at least their 5" jerk minnow supplied by the same source. the fork tail part of the mold is offset lower than the rest of the back end.. by about 1cm making the bait inoperable. at first i thought it was some new design but the mold isnt lined up correctly and ruins the bait on both. will find a way to update pics tomorrow. i thought i was going crazy but it is their main suppliers fault.. im suprised theyd sell these they obviously have no QC or do not care at all about customers and thats why ive posted so many fluke questions
  5. getting it snagged on laydowns
  6. and after a few halibut trips and gallons of anise oil thats why i cant stand them being scented.. atleast not with that
  7. perfect! i now have three orders of sevral hundred jerk minnows on the way! il update with what ones i find to match the drop and action and skipping of the last ones. now to find a new keel weight/beast hook/ frog rod...
  8. very similar profile to the big bites baits, perhaps even the same mold. theres a barely noticeable vertical line from the mold seam by the "gill plate" of the plastic and i believe the tail is more round and like a tuning fork profile rather than pointy. scheels actually has something i just purchased that might be what im looking for. https://www.scheels.com/p/scheels-outfitters-5-inch-jerk-minnow-10-pack/80510405337.html?store=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3czmiM667wIVVD6tBh0zxgo9EAQYASABEgIBo_D_BwE these, big bite baits and the cabelas go to series all seem to have the same mold. i just dont care for it to be packed full of anise oil
  9. which soft plastic jerkbait resembles the old fishermans series go to jerk minnow by cabelas? havent been able to find em the last few years and im getting down to the end of mine. got some "big bites baits" ones but the plastic is too scented and oily for my liking but looking for a similar round fork tail that gives it the action on a keel weighted hook that im looking for. any ideas? pour my own?
  10. 7'1 mh spinning rod 20lb braid wackyrigged yum dinger gets em out quick so they dont go for a pylon
  11. i have one it sits on the wall caus i use my falcon 7'm for a lot more than i planned on. but if im going really light i think about using it.. maybe this year
  12. falcon has a few moderate spinning 7'rs that ive been using from their bucoo line
  13. falcon "deep runner" 7'3 mh moderate fast 15lb pline tactical flouro also likes to throw colordo and thunderwillow spinnerbaits
  14. i too want the 72h for mainly beast hooked paddletails, froggin and some jigs
