  1. Excellant craftsmanship guys, and ladies. Just flat out awesome paint.
  2. These are my best type post, looking at everybodys pictures of their tackle. . I need to take more pics, or update mine, some I had just copied and pasted pics when I bought them. These are some in my box. http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/New%20lures%20for%202011/?albumview=slideshow And these below are some I hope to pick up this year, probably not all of them. http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/Bait%20monkey%20chewing%20my%20ear/?albumview=slideshow
  3. SeanW, your going to need an extra boat just to haul your tackle
  4. Maybe the Jackall tn series with the weighted nose.
  5. Is this the one getting all the hoopla? I havent tried one. http://www.thealabamarig.com/about.htm
  6. I like trying out various type, and collecting. Its surprising how many different brands there are. Here is a few I like, Viper Design Risebacker: http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/new%20fishin%20stuff%202010/?action=view&current=RisebackerBluegill.jpg Evergreen Buzzer Beater: http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/new%20fishin%20stuff%202010/?action=view&current=EvergreenBuzzerBeatersilentgrass-1.jpg Imakatsu Piranha : http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/New%20lures%20for%202011/?action=view&current=Piranaha70SilverShiner.jpg Stringjam is very knowledgeable about lipless baits, & cranks, about which to use under certain conditions, and he has a cool selection if you can get him to post some pics
  7. I've fished the Bomber model 6a and 7a for years, and its still one of my most productive cranks on some local watersheds. I do best on the firecraw(red & yellow) and the brown craw colors.
  8. Yea, if the lure is in the orignal box, it can about double the cost, and value in most cases, also depending condition, and color also. Most of the old wood Bombers I got, I also got the boxes for. The older "yellow" or no eye boxes are more rare, and a Bomber Bomberette in very good condition can get expensive. But, its like anything, some of the old Heddon lures can get way up there, several hundred dollars each, too much for me. I kind of liked the old wood Bombers, and most are not too expensive. http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/Old%20Timers/?albumview=slideshow
  9. There are some good books on old lures, one I got was Old Fishing lures and Tackle by Carl F. Luckey and Russell E. Lewis 8th edition. I've bought a bunch of old vintage lures off Ebay to put up for my Grandsons. You can search Ebay for listings, and also do a completed sales search to see what a particular lure actually sold for. Here are some old Bombers, and a few plastic 49'ers that almost drove them out of buisness in 1949. http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/Vintage%20lures/
  10. I've got one I've barely even tried :-/
  11. Nice work and bold colors. I think the top red/char. craw would do good on one of my local spots, the bass go crazy there over similar color.
  12. Wild colors and very clean work. Nice job Cliff.
  13. I did not get any pics, or catch any big fish, but this bait of Martys has some really nice action and flash, and produced a few keeper size fish today in water 55 when all else I tried failed. And, I tried quite a few cranks. This bait has some great action and flash. I'm really digging this bait Big M ;D http://s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv251/SnappinTurtle_photos/New%20lures%20in%20the%20box/?action=view&current=BigMsPeteystyle.jpg
  14. snuffy, the cikana looks quite comfortable, have you tried them out, durability, etc..?
  15. I need to pick up a pair of light weight waterproof boat shoes, or boots for fishing in the rain on a boat. I haven't even started looking yet, but I'm getting a little tired of wet tennis shoes and soggy socks ;D Anybody got some suggestions? I don't need them for cold weather, so I guess not insulated.
