  1. they sound awesome in flight!! I hunted them in Lubbock Tx, and it was awe inspiring. they are yummy.
  2. that is one heck of an upgrade!!! wow!!! nicely done.
  3. hahahah..... I just reverse snorted hot coffee out my nose...hahahhahaha
  4. I’m a kayaker. The KING of limitations:)
  5. i think lighter than most. 5-6. she doenst have that giant head.. ah...i dont know. i have taken plenty like that and sadly they seem to be 5-6.
  6. indeed!!! have fun everyone. two words: stretchy pants.
  7. i thought about my reply. it might need an amendment. i dont know who i will be when i retire. 3-6 years. i might become a lazy Dick. hahahha. or health issues that slow me the heck down. dunno. i do know this. i will finish my projects 100%. might take me longer, but i;ll get done. i wont leave headaches for whoever follows me. that is my rub. i am taking over for a dude retiring in a month. i keep looking at what he needs to get done, and the list isnt shrinking. i have to keep my own area, that i spit shined into a shining turd happily humming along (took me 2 years to clean it up) and then take on his new brand new turd. i think i got the assignment because i got my area done! he had some stuff languishing for a year, and i made 5 phone calls, and poof!! the got fixed. 3 days, it took me 3 days. i'm screwed. i may have to find a new position within my organization. i bet my temp area becomes my permanent area..unless i totally choke it and drop, burn, lose, the ball. before you all label the old man lazy. he was in a horrific work accident at work. three passengers and only he survived. we lost 2 coworkers that day. i think i was just hired. the guy got surgery after surgery and a decade of PT. i think he is in daily bad pain. i get it. it is why he is retiring in the first place. chronic unescapable pain would deflate my work ethics 100%. i get it.
  8. slow rolling is all I do. burning it usually causes my spinnerbait to lean to the side.
  9. so in summary, the rules require a full blown bass boat.
  10. I'm asking for other. I know I what would do. full throttle. if I can't, I retire earlier. I want to be missed when I go, instead of everyone glad I am gone. hahaha.
  11. ..or do you do the slow-down. ? quit caring?
  12. not sure i could tell you how deep a crank runs for me. you can tell with Livescope?
  13. math. not for everyone. and okay, Mr. Details.
  14. This is what they sent me. I didn’t dive into the details. Much.
  15. my friend had the same criteria. he was pricing out lumber and it was getting expensive. he told me what he wanted and i sent him a pic of this. we put it together fast and it is working perfectly. it is a big low, but he can still load to/from his truck super easy. a jet Ski dolly.
  16. to be clear, my friend can stand up to fish. he gets imbalanced when he needs to look down..like at his junk or something. something about his ear, maybe. whatever, we still make fun of him.
  17. maybe the internet phantoms heard me talking about a tracker. I was sent an unsolicited advertisement touting they are here to help me with some inflation pricing. ironically, I'm old school and think with inflation that last thing to buy is a boat..but I digress. I do admit, I was shocked. some 16" bass-tracker with a 50 HP motor (not sure what the Suzuki upgrade will cost - I'm looking at you Glenn! :D) with the very generous discount to help ease my pain with inflation..it was around $14k!! the heck? my friend has that in his decked out Hobie ProAngler!! and he still can't stand up to pee. $14k is not bad. wonder how much it will cost to turn my side gate into a double swing gate. haha... opps. wife is waking up. gotta go pretend to do work.
  18. I understood what you meant. maybe more, trebuchet! I found if you add a tiny "yank" to the butt end at the right time, it will fling the heck out of bait. just a basic class-1 lever.
  19. I keep trying to read this in while I am in my meeting, but they keep asking me questions. go it done. GREAT ARTICLE. this topic speaks to me as a kayak fisherman. I slip around quietly, best I can. I also really advocate for the long-bomb casts. I like to really fire at distant targets so not only do I minimize my sound, I minimize the bass seeing me. in shallow waters I shut off my FF as well.
  20. load it with line, and let it rip. only one way to find out.
  21. time to buy a Garmin GPS watch @AustonW!:D "yawn..i wonder what time it is.....(tap a button)?...when are we gonna hit your next favorite spot?" serious reply? as you fish, you will just kinda home in on the fish. some of my best bass-runs were a result of me just casting out to some random spot in a random direction for a random reason. i found one spot trying to cast out past a loose spot on my reel spool. i was trying to clear a mild loop in the spool. i casted out, worked the tiny loop..and BOOM! i stayed off shore and cleaned up.
  22. great point. it would suck for the big boat sellers to see their pros lose to a bunch of dudes in homemade tiny boats. hahha.. 16" bass tracker.
  23. one got gently rearended by a drunk. uninsured. so i bought a new one. only to find a body shop willing to get creative enough to fix my old truck within the $3500 uninsured coverage we are allowed here in CA. (Stupid, dont get me started). they reused some emblems, found a perfect tailgate on a front end crashed tacoma, same color...etc. i thought it was totaled. i'll sell it. but i think it runs smoother than the new one. they fixed it beautifully!! i should sell it. gah..i love that truck.
