  1. when go karts were unrestricted in the 70s, 80s my friends and i would always get scolded, a talking to and then kicked out for being to rough. Happy birthday kid.
  2. well that does it, berkley is coming out with the new General, more scent impregnated into the worm so it leaves more of a trail.
  3. throw something else thats much more weedless and wait till the time of year when less weeds less hangups.
  4. i have alot of worms in white and 1/2 white that i dont use so i dunked them in spike it yellow and orange to make them more vibrant and will fish with them this weekend to see what happens. I also dunked some blue worms in yellow and they come out really kool with a floresent glow on them. Here take a look, the original worm is on the left of each group.
  5. whats the exact address? i want to bring my platoon, ALPHA CO 2nd squad there for a fish and picnic outing.
  6. you need to move your tissue, muscles, tendons to get the blood flowing to promote healing, depending on the severity as surgery may be the only fix. Years ago if you hurt, strained your back the remedy was lay in bed but that was a mistake as after 24 hrs of rest you need to get to stretching the back.
  7. when i am wading i am on the move, i am walking and casting at the same time letting my feet tell me whats ahead with my next step. Every now and then i will look down to check the bottom ahead of me. This isnt the first hole i stepped in, but its the first one that dunked my head in the water. Whats just as scary is stepping into a hole thats waist deep and you sink into the bottom muck and cannot pull your feet out as you work yourself deeper like quicksand. Last time this happened to me it took me a good while to work my way loose thinkng i may have to drop the waders and swim away.
  8. try these from vmc, work fantastic for me. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&prevsearch=touch+lok&searchtext=touch+lok+snaps
  9. which ones of the vmc are you referring to?
  10. 956 is my #1 here in minn.
  11. sometimes i use a vpn from angola and i cannot get on this website.
  12. does this apply to pvc waders also? pvc is what i was wearing. I was also wearing a pack strapped to my body like a bandalier of bullets which was full of tackle. When my face went into the water the whole episode was me trying to bounce off the bottom and dog paddle trying to keep my face from going back into the water. Why i didnt drop my pole i cant answer, i didnt even think about it but if i did drop it i doubt i would have found it as this water was black looking into that depression.
  13. When i am in the water i always wanna go just a couple more feet out and push it and then if all is well i will push it again untill its to late or a boat comes by and then its back up or get swamped. Im goin to play it safer now and be belly button depth.
  14. ate that sunnie for dinner tonite, thick meat like a 1/4 lb hamburger.
  15. wife caught this fat guy sunday on her usual gulp minnow
  16. beautiful day, terrible for fishing. This day was my dedicated worm, creature bait day. Threw 4 in rage menace looked awesome in the water, green pumpkin and dipped the tails in yellow garlic on a 4/0 hook will downsize to 3/0 next time, didnt catch a darn thing. Threw the red 8in kingtail texas and neko, nothin. So i put on a senko texas rigged, super lookin action on a 4/0 hook with 1/8 oz pegged weight, finally caught a coupe dinks. No more action on senko so i put the waders on and went to explore new water away from main culvert and threw spinners around pads, through pads, on top of pads....caught pike only, ok i can live catching pike for fun and then i got wet, naw it didnt start raining that came later at night. I stepped into the abyss, just wading stomach belly button deep and stepped where no man wants to go and i was under water, my rod held tightly in my right hand and my waders filling up like a super gulp at the 7-11 i started to jump off the bottom lunging to move forward untill i got my feet on firm footing and walked to the shoreline, sat on a rock, took of waders and dumped them out. Put them back on and continued fishing. As i sat on the rock i noticed an old broken up wooden boat lift on the shore line and i think this old lift used to be out where i sunk. Got out of the water and went to my car and changed into dry clothes, feels good after all your lower extremities, feet especially are all water logged and shriveled up. Wife was sunnie fishing and caught 46 combined crappie and sunnies. She, known as the bass slayer threw some senkos and hard baits for bass but nothin. The bite all day was dead but for a few dinks. I went back to the worms but nothing at 7-830 pm, top waters, nope, jerks, square bills, storm swim baits got me nothin, not even a pike grrrrr now i want a pike, i want 1 more fish to end the day so i go to old faithfull, the froggg, the black pad crasher. Its gettin dark as a storm is commin our way so i toss the frogg into the shallow pad covered corner of the lake where its so shallow a grasshopper coud stand up in it and not get his knees wet. I pull it through a handfull of times and whoosh it gets hit and i give it 4 seconds before i didnt even set the hook because i had really slack line from just given it a pull and by the time i got the slack out he was pulling hard. I started to reel in and i landed him, i tell ya that guy weighed in at say 1.5 lbs, but at least my frogg came through for me and i had a nice drive home in the rain.
  17. the wife as i posted last week caught 25 bass standing in the same spot and 2 days later went back and she caught i think 4. Friday we fished and i caught 1 good bass and the others were small and the pike have reappeared in fighting mode and yes i still use the 80lb fluoro leader on all my lures because of them. Today we are headed out to same spot we ended up at friday and i am all rigged up with snelled neko hooks, circle hooks, and ewg hooks as today is worm day, senko day, and creature day. Now the neko and circe hooks have wire cages and i couldnt use my 80 lb leader as no room to run it through the eye so they are snelled on 20 lb fluoro.
  18. add the frog to that list.
  19. I will leave a pic at the end of this post showing my existing problem. Heres the deal, 2 of my best bass lakes for banking and wading have water levels here in detroit lakes minn. area so low that the fish have moved out. Look at the pics, you see the lily pads? these pads go to either side for the diameter of this lake which i wade. These pads are like a wall, they go from pads to semi weedy 6-7 foot water out in front of them and the bass come out and ambush my lures as i am standing normally a 1/3 of the way into the water from shore and bomb cast out to the pads. During a normal water level year i can only wade out a a 1/3 of the way to the pads and thats pushin it with chest waders. Well now i can easilly walk out right up to the pads and its about 3 feet deep where it used to be well over my head. So i would say the bass have moved well back behind the pads to reach deeper water which i cant get to, i tried but the pads were gettin tangled in my feet, my lures were gettin hung up and the bottom is to squishy to risk stepping into a hole and drowning. I gave up and got out of the water. I talked to a guy loading his boat out and he told me the water level has taken away his bass holes he had marked out on his electronics from previos years and he was looking for new spots but didnt do well at all finding many bass. Wife and i packed up and went to another lake 15 minutes away and yes the water is extremely low but the pads are right up on shore and i can cast well out beyond them to deeper water and i caught bass and pike. The biggest bass was 3 lbs the others were smaller. They were finally chasing spinners again, a red and black with a mister twister reg size black grub for trailor and top water 130 blue white spook. The pike were hittin today and they were short but muscled up and fought me all the way to shore gettin me hung in the weeds and draggin them out. My line is braid spiderwire 30lb with a clip to a 80 lb fluoro leader a foot long clipped to a lure.
  20. yeah i hear ya, my wife catches them with persistance and patience all the while i am running around throwing everything in my box mixing it up to see if i can catch bass using every technique in the book.
  21. i use clips to leader. When casting from the bank i have snagged my chair, bank brush behind me to the degree where my kingtail worm gets caught on the brush while the hook makes it into the water. And dont stand behind me, you are at your own risk.
  22. i am a orioles fan, i will join in this conversation after our rebuild is completed in around 2025.
  23. lost big uns usually go around 5-6 lbs in the north and 8-12 lbs down south.
