  1. I ate a big pizza tonight and now hate myself.
  2. This was back in 2005 so the woke culture wasnt a thing yet. I started with this company in 2000 out in san francisco. The company was ZZZZ heavy equipment rental and sales. After 5 years in san fran working for them i transferred to another ZZZZ branch in my old stomping ground las vegas. When i was just gettin to know the guys one dude labeled me as a f-g because i transferred from san fran and people think that just because you lived there you must be one. I asked him to stop calling me that but he didnt. One day we were all in the breakroom for lunch and he called me the label again, everyone snickered and i had had enough. I told him right then that you really think its funny huh? well heres something you can laugh at, so i pulled out my phone, sittin right across from him i called human resources out east and had a conversation with the hr lady explaining the situation with this dude. The silence was thick with shock and awe. I finished my call with her and went out to my service truck and went on a call to fix an excavator with a smile on my face. The next morning when i punched in he walked up to me and asked me if i would like to have his old but new house vacuum telling me his wife just bought a new one. He had it with him at the timeclock and i didnt have a vacuum and was going to buy one but i accepted his and after that exchange, with no verbal apology for the label he called me by, he nor anyone else ever called me that label again.

  5. I think they do a pretty good job with the science they have to work with and then make projections. When i was working as a mechanic some shops i was at we had to give estimates of the total end cost of the repair and had to stick to it. You never know what other parts may be worn or broken internally untill you take the engine apart completely. Kinda like making projections on what the weather is going to do.
  6. having 2 different keys to access ignition and doors. Changing the oil in the air filter housing.

  8. When wife and i spent a few days in wisconsin this year the hotel pillow was so stuffed that i walked over to the goodwill store a block away and bought my own pillow, problem solved.
  9. I bought a memory foam pillow in the philippines that has neck contour from thick on one half and thinner on the other. Its made in japan, may have to go back to the philippines to get another one. I also could go to the Mattress King in town here that made our foam mattress in house to our spec and have them cut out an exact duplicate of my pillow.

Many years ago i always carried a condom in my wallet, the old saying never leave home without it applied to my party days. Back then i always used cash so my wallet was full of bills and a condom mixed in. On more then one occassion the condom came out with the bills and fell on the counter while buying stuff. Got a few smiles.
  14. Started eating Cream of Wheat or Malt O Meal 55 years ago. I buy the chocolate flavor non sweetened, gonna have a bowl for lunch now. My bowl is huge, its actually a tupperware container. I put 1/3 cup of wheat, 1 1/2 cup water with salt tossed in. Put into micro wave for 2.30 minutes and cook, stir after 2.30 minutes to be sure the clumps are broken up and cook again for 2.30 minutes or untill it rises to almost overflow the bowl. Take out and add 2 packs of fake nutra sweet sugar and add a cup of milk, stir and enjoy.
  15. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. My childhood friends and I would always repeat this if someone called us an unpleasant name or made fun of us back in 60,s.
  16. Saturday is a road trip to scout some small rock dams in north dakota on the maple river and 1 concrete dam that only flows during spring flooding as its a watershed area. Will bring limited tackle and toss a bit but not expecting much as all water levels are super low.
  17. This conversation reminds me of when i lived in california and i would take my metal detector down to the nude beaches to detect. The nude beaches were the best to detect because most folks put all their jewelry on their towell and then when they get up they forget and shake the sand out of the towell and loose it all in the sand. I was detecting all around the nudies, hey now, they dont own the sand they are laying on so what could they say to me? Call me a perv? Well no one did and some girls sat up and asked me what i was looking for and i explained to them about the jewelry. Oh and i was wearing shorts and t-shirt.

  22. Sorry to hear that. About 5 years ago i started stretching my achilles on each foot because i had a flare up of planter faciitis. My planter faciitis went away and never came back but i kept stretching my achilles every 4 days as part of my stretching routine to this day. Using a foam roller against a wall putting my heel on the floor and toes up high on roller with foot at the steepest upward angle i can achieve and lean forward.
