  1. Standing in chest deep water in chest waders with that on would never work for me. If i needed to rerig which i do standing in waist deep water that huge pack means i would have to walk back to shore to access the back of it to get out tackle and such. Everything i bring when wading is around my waist in a fanny pack type bag and 2 other bags slung over my shoulder. All my tackle gets soaked and is under water but when i need to get in them i just pull the fanny pack up my waist and the sling bags just swing them up and out of the water. When i get home empty em out, stuff dries and for my pliers just spray em with wd-40 and good to go.
  2. Yeah it can be boring especially in calm flat water using a bobber. Where wife and i fish around the dams it takes as much effort as any lure. We are throwing ball head jigs, and mooneye hair jigs with a minnow, workin it, skippin it off the bottom, dragging it..... back to shore all the while fighting the river rock snags. We also bobber fish with minnows and watching for your bobber in swift current hiding in the swells coming off the dam keeps you on the lookout. I spooled up our reels with 832 high vis yellow this year to hopefully be able to track our lines better in the current.
  3. I bought a new minnow bucket last week on sale for $5.99. Some fisherman bought livescope forward facing sonar. Whos cheating?
  4. 8 inches of high moisture snow last night. Blowing it with the all gear driven bobcat snowblower was like blowing the runny snot out of my nose.
  5. On another note, never top off your tank by manipulating the pump handle to get as much fuel in the tank as possible. What will happen is you will over flow fuel into the vent tube and it will run into your emissions charcoal canister and ruin it. I refill when the gauge shows i used 1/4 tank. Phsycologically my gas bill is cheap.
  6. Go to a Meecum auto auction and buy a Winged Superbird and Daytona, Shelby cobra, GTOs, Cuda, Challengers, Roadrunners, Super bees, a handfull of chevy 55,56,57,58s and a Ferrari along with a lambo to finish the first day.
  7. These, i bought them at an estate sale for pennies on the dollar so if i lose them i wont be out much.
  8. I have some zoom lizzards that were included in an estate sale of fishing items i bought. Untill i read this article i was not interested in them but now i went and opened a pack and first thing i noticed is they smell highly of plastic.
  9. went to fleetfarm yesterday and their big sale started for fishing gear. I picked up 2 packs of 832 braid superline #30 150yd in hi vis yellow regular 18.99 each for 13.29 each. I am going to try the hi vis for the first time because i want to see if its easier to track my line in the heavy river current.
  10. I am still rehabbing from my biceps tenodisis surgery and rebuild of my shoulder. I hope winter sticks around a lot longer here in north dakota.
  11. Hopefully your neighbor doesnt get sued for kidnapping.
  12. The tequilla with the worm in it was a big deal for us when i was stationed in alaska. Some more than others wanted the worm saying it really put the lights out for them.

  14. On the back of a tow truck or on the shoulder?
  15. there is a backstory to this vid that shows the whole sequence. The pitch before that was low and called a strike and the batter showed up the ump by pointing to the low level of the pitch with his bat and kept complaining so the next pitch the ump as said before showed the kid who the boss is and called a strike.
  16. i quit drinking coffee when my 13 month deployment in alaska ended in 1984. The sun didnt come up till 10 am if there was any sun during the winter and got dark out at 4pm. Military coffee strong and addicting with a 1 month of withdrawl headaches.
  17. I sip everclear to relax after i eat, its cheap and relaxes me before bed..
  18. She is workin a brand new one down as the metal cuttin edge is wore off now. Its ok, i bought her 2 more new ones at an estate sale. She should be good to 2025.
  19. Is bottled coconut water as good as fresh? If it is taken out of the coconut and packaged for retail it isnt real 100% coconut water. You are being scammed by corporate america. Once a coconut is cracked open it begins to oxidise and is open to bacteria. Pasteurisation removes this potential bacteria, but unfortunately also kills off the nutrients and electrolytes that can only be obtained from fresh, raw coconut water. I drank alot of fresh coconut water in the philippines, they call it buko juice, buko means young coconut.
