  1. Can we possibly get our original draft pick from a few years ago back to baltimore? We traded him to boston for reliever Andrew Miller in 2014 whom was just a rental for us hoping to get to the world series, we didnt.
  2. O's hammer six homers, sweep Minnesota 15 to 2. Reach 54-35 at the break.
  3. I stay away from television news and when listening to the radio and the newsbreak comes on i turn the radio off for a few minutes.
  4. Only 1 smallie today between the wife and I fishing the Sheyene river south of valley city, was the size of a stick of butter. I dont know where the brownies are hiding but it isnt at the dam. The dam is still high and with recent rain is running muddy. Wife was using fat head minnows while i started out with lures and caught 1 walleye on a white mimic minnow. Wife caught a big walleye on a bobber with 1/8 jig and fathead. I got tired of casting so i put on a bobber and a 1/4 oz ballhead jig and a ugly fathead minnow, ugly meaning its head was black and body had no sheen to it unlike shiners which look much better to my eyes. North Dakota does not allow shiners to be fished in the entire state because they are not native. I did catch a big catfish with the ugly fathead which put up a nice fight. Scheels to me is skimping on what they call a scoop of fatheads at $3.50. I suppose instead of raising the price just give less fatties so i bought 2 scoops.
  5. O's big inning, Wells' strong outing lead to win and series victory over the Twins 6 to 2.
  6. Never, never hold your hands up while holding your phone.
  7. Good start to the weekend: O's beat Twins 3-1 in 10 innings.
  8. Henderson leads Orioles' 20-hit parade in 14 to 1 victory over the Skankees.
  9. Working as a field mechanic, retired now, i spent many a day in las vegas heat 110 F working underneath backhoes, dozers, excavaters.... in the oil soaked dirt with hydraulic oil running down all over my face and body mixed with sweat. Some jobs are just hard and have to get done on the spot, no easy way out, thats what i was paid to do and was paid well.
  10. The kids are the future in a 6-3 victory over the yankees. Cowser lined an RBI single into right field in the sixth inning after the Orioles put runners on the corners with one out against left-handed reliever Nick Ramirez, and he crossed the plate for the first time on Jordan Westburg’s two-run triple. Dean Kremer struck out a career-high 10 batters in seven innings, and the Orioles won their 50th game, a total they didn’t reach last season until July 28. Félix Bautista stranded an inherited runner and registered the four-out save. Ryan O’Hearn provided breathing room with a two-run homer off Jan Hamilton in the ninth after Adley Rutschman doubled.
  11. Is it okay to have no goals in life? If you live without goals and end up failing, ask yourself if it's really a failure. You only fail if you don't get to where you wanted to go — but if you don't have a destination in mind, there's no failure. It's all good. No matter what path you find, no matter where you end up, it's beautiful.
  12. Orioles in dire need of pitching and hitting as both have dryed up. Here comes another rookie with power to help with the run production. Source: Cowser joining Orioles in New York By Roch Kubatko Orioles July 04, 2023, 9:01pm NEW YORK – Colton Cowser finally got the phone call. The organization’s No. 2 prospect is joining the Orioles in New York, according to a source. The club is expected to select his contract from Triple-A Norfolk. Space must be cleared on the 40-man roster, and the Orioles could make other moves prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Yankees. What’s certain is that Cowser, ranked No. 14 among baseball’s prospects by MLB Pipeline, is in position to make his major league debut. Cowser wasn’t in Norfolk’s lineup tonight. He’s batting .330/.459/.537 with 10 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 40 RBIs and 48 walks in 56 games. The Orioles selected Cowser fifth-overall in 2021 out of Sam Houston State. He’s accumulated 381 plate appearance at Triple-A in two seasons, slashing .292/.420/.500 in 83 games. Executive vice president/general manager Mike Elias said recently in a MASN interview that Cowser had nothing left to prove and was just waiting on a call. He got it. Cowser’s arrival coincides with a difficult stretch of the season, with the Orioles losing six of their last seven games. They scored three runs in the three-game series against the Twins in the final homestand before the All-Star break, rallying Sunday to avoid their first sweep since May 2022, and have lost twice to the Yankees. The Rays lost their third game in a row today to keep the Orioles six back for the division lead, but the Yankees have moved within two of second place. The skid hasn’t wiped out the excitement over the talent pipeline’s flooding of the major league roster. Infielder Jordan Westburg earned his promotion on June 26, allowing him to join former No. 1 prospect Gunnar Henderson and catcher Adley Rutschman, the first-overall selection in the 2019 draft. The Orioles have eight players in MLB Pipeline’s top 100, with Single-A Delmarva catcher Samuel Basallo added today. Shortstop Jackson Holliday, the first-overall selection in last year’s draft, is No. 1 overall. Cowser is 14th, Westburg 32nd, outfielder Heston Kjerstad 38th, shortstop Joey Ortiz 65th, infielder Connor Norby 68th and third baseman Coby Mayo 77th. Easy to see why the Orioles are regarded as having the No. 1 system in baseball. Cowser is the latest to reach the majors, but he may not be the last in 2023. Kjerstad, the second-overall pick in 2020, and Norby also are possibilities. Ortiz has been up and down this season. Pitcher Grayson Rodriguez, a first-rounder in 2018, is working his way back to the Orioles after another assignment to Norfolk. Rodriguez started tonight and shut out Durham on three hits, no walks and 12 strikeouts in six innings.
  13. More recalls. Department of Transportation investigates Ford recall of Explorer SUVs Nation Jun 24, 2023 6:33 PM EDT SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a Ford Motor Co. recall of more than a quarter-million Explorer SUVs in the U.S. after receiving complaints about repairs intended to prevent the vehicles from unexpectedly rolling away even while placed in park. The problem, ascribed to fractures of a rear axle mounting bolt that could lead the drive shaft to disconnect, was addressed by a Ford software update designed to apply the electronic parking brake if the drive shaft failed, the agency said. But according to two complaints from vehicle owners, their SUVs behaved erratically following the repair. In one of those cases, the Explorer would reportedly slam to a complete stop at speeds of up to 30 or 40 miles per hour. In the other, it would reportedly lurch into motion while the driver was attempting to disengage the electronic brake. No injuries were reported in these cases, although the first driver reported striking a utility pole when the Explorer started rolling downhill following an abrupt stop, seemingly because the drivetrain was disengaged. The original recall covered certain 2020 through 2022 Explorers with 2.3-liter engines, as well as 3-liter and 3.3-liter hybrids, and the 3-liter ST. Also included were 2020 and 2021 Explorer Police hybrids and those with 3.3-liter gas engines. Both of the reported incidents involved 2021 Explorers.
  14. Orioles need pitching help and they have no one player in the minors whom can compete against major league hitters. Rodrigeuz is the best chance but he is still struggling to throw strikes with his fastball and his splitter and will remain in norfolk untill he can command his pitches and go more than 5 innings with a reasonable pitch count. The O"s may well be swept by the Twins who for some uncanny reason own us. Twins are 21 wins and 6 losses against us the past few years.
  15. Do it the easy way.
  16. How about that Olivia Dunne?
  17. I ate military chow hall food 3 times a day. One day during evening chow i found maggots crawling in my sloppy joe. I cant eat bass no more as i consider them friends of the water world. I now only eat walleye, they are not my friends.
  18. O"s soak the Reds 10 to 3. Westburg scored his first run on Austin Hays’ bases-loaded single following two more walks from Reds left-hander Brandon Williamson. His first RBI came on a bases-loaded, fielder’s choice grounder in the third. His first hit was a single into left field with the count full in the fifth. Chants of “Wes-ty, Wes-ty” grew louder for the quiet rookie. Left-hander Bruce Zimmermann covered three innings out of the bullpen to earn his first win since May 8, 2022, and the Orioles claimed their 18th series opener with a 10-3 victory. Westburg finished 1-for-4 after another fielder’s choice in the seventh and a bouncer in the eighth with the count full again, and the Orioles moved a season-high 19 games above .500 at 48-29. They also climbed within four of the idle Rays.
  19. What Bronco engines are recalled? More than half a million 2020 to 2023 Ford Escape and 2021 to 2023 Ford Bronco Sport SUVs equipped with 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engines are being recalled to address a potential issue with a cracked fuel injector that risks fire. What is the problem with the Ford Bronco EcoBoost engine? The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation of 2021 model year Ford Bronco SUVs that are powered by the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. The investigation centers around the engine's valvetrain, which can cause the engine to fail and render the turbocharged off-roader inoperable.
