  1. Lamar has low td pass totals throughout his career, he needs to work on the passing game and should have stuck with the run game against the chiefs. Which is more of a coaching decision more than it is on him on his low td totals because the coaching knows he is not a good passing qb.
  2. Alot happening in Baltimore in tha past week. New O's ownership group takes over an organization that is trending up By Steve Melewski Orioles February 01, 2024, 8:00am Comments When the sale of the Orioles, for $1.725 billion, becomes official through Major League Baseball, Baltimore native David M. Rubenstein will become the fifth owner of the Orioles in team history that, of course, dates to 1954. It will be a new era of Orioles baseball. Maybe the best news for the new ownership group, which will include Oriole Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr., is that they take over a team and organization on the rise. Orioles acquire Brewers righty Corbin Burnes in trade By Steve Melewski Orioles February 01, 2024, 9:00pm Comments One day after the Orioles' pending ownership change was announced by the club, the team tonight announced it has acquired the frontline starting pitcher it sought all winter with a trade for Brewers right-hander Corbin Burnes. The Orioles are sending lefty pitcher DL Hall, infielder Joey Ortiz and a 2024 draft pick to Milwaukee to get the 2021 National League Cy Young Award winner. The pick is the No. 34 overall selection, a Competitive Balance Round A pick. Competitive Balance picks are the only ones that can be traded. After this deal, the Orioles would still have the Nos. 22 and 32 picks in this summer’s draft. The last four seasons in Cy Young voting, Burnes, 29, has finished sixth, first, seventh and eighth. He is a three-time All Star. Burnes is, at this point, a one-year addition for the Orioles. He is repped by Scott Boras and can be a free agent at the end of the 2024 season. Last year for the Brewers, he went 10-8 with a 3.39 ERA over 32 starts and 193 2/3 innings with a 1.069 WHIP, a 3.1 walk rate and 9.3 strikeout rate. In his final 14 starts of last season, Burnes had a 2.71 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. In that span, he also allowed just a .187 batting average and .553 OPS with a 47.2 groundball rate and 10.22 K rate. Burnes led the NL last season in WHIP and ranked among league leaders in opponent average (second, .200), hits per nine innings (second, 6.55), innings pitched (tied fifth), ERA (sixth), quality starts (sixtg, 19) and strikeouts (10th, 200). He was honored as the NL Pitcher of the Month in July after going 4-1 with a 1.85 ERA. Burnes has a career 3.26 ERA for an ERA+ of 129, or 29 percent above league average. Burnes recently agreed to a contract for this season of $15,637,500 to avoid a hearing in his final year or arbitration.

  5. In high school i worked at the Fargo police station after school for an extended time, not because i wanted to but the judge ordered me to.
  6. The NDSU Bison board and all the money backers would not allow USFL football in fargo. The Bison football team plays in the low level Missouri valley football conferance and is having attendance problems at the fargodome. Fans here are bored with playing low level schools and the school is afraid to lose more fans to a pro type football program even though its played months apart but you need to figure in season tickets and such. Go to any store and you see bison gear being sold and the bison would then be up against usfl gear. I myself do not ever watch the bison play on tv, the fargodome, or the radio, and am not interested in any thing bison football untill they switch to a higher level conferance with more branded name schools to get me to watch. Of course this would cost the school big money to switch conferances and the university claims they cant afford it as even academic attendance has decreased. Hey its fargo what do you expect a Taylor Swift concert every year at the fargodome, hey @gimruisshe actually was here in 2015.
  7. well there is always the XFL-USFL starting in march, i dont watch that but i would if they put a team in fargo, nd.

  14. Update, Linder Media along with the DNR going back and doing more testing. This article was written by Jeff Sundin January 25, 2024 Well, we finally found the time, along with a compelling reason to get out on the ice. And as of Wednesday, the Hippie Chick is officially 2 crappies ahead of me for the 2024 fishing season. Maybe you’re wondering, so, how many did you guys catch altogether yesterday? We caught 2, I mean she caught 2, and I didn’t fish. I know that doesn’t sound very good, but the fishing trip was a lot different than what we’d usually be doing together, and for us the trip was a great success! What we were doing exactly was participating in a new fisheries research project. The MN DNR, along with Lindner Media has teamed up again to produce an expanded version of the barotrauma study that they introduced last year. Along with DNR scientists and Lindner media producers, volunteers like Susan and I took to the ice to help gather, document, and record the releases of about 125 crappies caught over a 2-day period. Today, fisheries biologists will re-capture some of the fish, and search for others using camera equipped underwater drones. The project is ongoing, and it will take months for biologists to pour through the video recordings and compile statistics. So, any “official” results won’t be coming along for a while. Casual observations by volunteers who were there to help will likely pop up from time to time. In fact, I have a couple of observations to share with you right now. First, I was amazed at how thin the ice still is on the Longville area lake we were fishing. We didn’t use a ruler to measure it, but I’m sure that it was less than 10 inches thick. There were a few snowmobiles out there, and the good quality, clear ice, supported them alright. But aside from those, or some of the lightweight ATVs, walking would be the only other option that I’d be comfortable with. Second, I had an opportunity to see firsthand that having forward facing sonar does not guarantee fast and furious fishing action. There were no less than a half dozen FFS units on the ice and all of them at one time or another pointed to good numbers of fish. Repeatedly their operators would advise anglers to “move 30, 40 or 50 feet that way” to try and catch them. But the crappies were so skittish that simply walking over to them was enough to make them scatter. Over and over, I watched anglers get enough time to catch one fish, maybe two, before the schools of fish disappear from the screens of their electronics. In my opinion, there were just as many fish caught by folks who sat still and waited for fish to move through. But I realize that every outing is different, and I did see the power of FFS in action. There’s no doubt that when the fish are biting, location and efficiency is greatly improved using advanced imaging. Having the chance to see all the major brands of FFS in action was an eye opener too. On this occasion, it was clear the Garmin units provided better coverage and accuracy than the other brands but that’s a conversation for another time. My third observation, and maybe the most troubling one for me, is how stubborn crappies are about the depth of water they “prefer” to live in. An ideal “barotrauma study” would include fish captured from a variety of depths. There was an awful lot of effort put into locating crappies at the shallower end of the danger zone, let’s say water depths from 27 to 33 feet. Over the past couple of days, there were some fish caught in the 30 to 35 depth range, but most of the crappies showed a preference for deeper water. Fish located in 40 to 45 feet were common, 45 to 50 feet was less common, but also observed. How this impacts the study isn’t for me to figure out, but it’s obviously going to be a factor. What I did see for myself is that a lot of those fish swam away when released, and then floated back up to the surface minutes later. Sometimes it took 3 to 5 minutes, but in some cases, there were delays of10 minutes or even longer. We’ll get back to the barotrauma studies as new information becomes available. But in my mind, my own “casual observations” support my belief that crappies in deep water lakes are their own worst enemies. Anglers don’t force the fish into those depths, the fish go there because they want to and if we catch them there, it definitely will do harm to some portion of them. So, for me, finding fish in shallower water lakes will continue to be my master game plan. If the lakes I fish don’t have deep water, then I can never be tempted to follow fish into dangerous territory. — Jeff Sundin 218-245-9858 or EMAIL
  15. I finished ep9 last nite, here is what i liked, from the very first scene there were alien creatures involved working on the ship and interacting with the rebels, kylo ren had his helmet off more than on and the continuation of his character and interaction with rey was written very well. The old palpatine emperor was good and the way he explained that he created snokes along with the way palpatine was finally killed off was fine. luke skywalker in ghostly form was a good scene also bringing his ship out of the water for some nostalgia and cant forget Leias old lite saber. Princess leia dieing was good enough for me, Lando showing up and flying around with chewy ok and cp3o was more important in the story line. Rey grew a pair, writers had her more in a laura croft way climbing up old battle ships showing alot of strength and her english was better, finding out she was a palpatine was well done in short order. The writers for rey gave her good lines and she matured as an actor from episode 8, her ending the movie burying the lite sabres and announcing to the desert stranger she was a skywalker was very good. What i didnt like was poe, still not interesting to me along with finn who is now some kind of chick magnet and still meh to me. The rebels standing on the deck of the ship they were blowing up in outer space and not needing oxygen masks or floating away geeeezz wizz, i know we are supposed to look the other way, its a movie. Not much else to be negative about, it was well written, fast paced, lots of action, things were revealed and an ending that leaves it open for another writer to take it over and put new life into it. Grade B+
  16. You have a resemblance to obi wan with the beard, may the force be with you.
  17. last night we watched ep8, here is what i liked, there was a backstory for kylo-ren, a short story but good enough for his character and he took the stupid helmet off. I would have liked if they didnt kill luke skywalker, just let him live on his island after he sent his jedi soul to hold back kylo and the door busting machine, but the writer and disney wanted him dead so i was ok with the way they killed off luke skywalker. I liked the actor rose, she had character in her role. What i didnt like, start with the actor who played poe the pilot, he is no maverick aka tom cruise, he looked and acted more like the ships janitor, the finn character is boring, maybe they needed kevin hart to play his role and i dont like kevin hart and his screaming, Laura dern and her movie role hairdo should stick to dinosaur movies. The code breaker scenes, should have used an alien character figure not some human greaseball. I was bored as the code breaker stuff was going on and was wondering how much longer this movie is going to last. Cant forget about rey, she doesnt do it for me, i dont like her accent, her part needs to be played by a female more in the laura croft catagory, well i am a man with an opinion. Are her parents really scavengers? maybe i will find out in the last episode. Grade C- the minus is for it being 30 minutes to long.
  18. 4 superbowl losses for bills, yeah a throwback for sure.
  19. I dont put this on josh at all, the defense coudnt stop the run and they never sacked mahomes. Towards the end of the game josh missed a wide open bill in the end zone with a bad pass that was short of the reciever, but if you watch the replay from behind josh his lineman got pushed into josh and stepped on josh"s foot to where he couldnt get off a strong throw.
  20. Back in the day when i lived in a house in north las vegas my bedroom started to smell, weeks went by and i couldnt figure it out untill i moved the big long heavy dresser and found a dead field mouse. Another time while living in detroit lakes minn renting an old trailer home we had 2 cats and as i was laying on the couch i watched the 2 cats playing with 2 field mice, pawing them and watching them run off only to catch them and paw play them, untill they got away.
  21. Another week of the Taylor Swift show... yaaaaay
  22. 2004 but i understand the mice thing, tell me if i am correct to not ever put mice poison inside your car because its supposed to attract them to eat it? and surely dont want to attract them inside the car.
