  1. How can the police be responsable? they dont know how many dingbats are gonna be carrying a heater let alone identify them. The incident commander took the blame as any smart person would or else be burnt at the stake. This is just the way things are in the world today. Here is a good video of 2 regular folks tackling a suspect. Might have to copy and paste link.
  2. Salvation army, tonight on v-day they gave out 2 slices of white bread instead of the normal 1 green moldy one.
  3. I am to cheap to buy flowers, i should buy plastic roses and just reuse them every year. I recall when in my bar drinking years the nite clubs i was at had woman walking around selling roses and would approach us guys when we were sittin with our dates really puttin us on the spot to buy. Never once did i buy a rose. Probably why i went home alone most nights.
  4. now a days the store bought cards are pricey along with the chocolates, the problem with buying chocolates was i couldnt keep my fingers clear and wound up eating more than i should. I am conscious about eating to much sugar and gettin fat, my glucose is down to 74 as of 14 days ago when i had a physical.
  5. Used to be i would buy wife some jewelry and box of chocolates, we never went out for dinner for v-day just because of the crowded restaurants. I stopped doing the jewelry part in 2021 and just continued to do the box of chocolates. Today v-day i didnt buy any chocolates but decided to go to dinner instead with the plan not to eat all day which i havnt since 5:00am breakfast and be at the restaurant at 4:30 pm and get seated and go from there.

  9. Some of them bottles have sharp inside edges. Not a movie but I did years ago ask my wife while we were living in the philippines if we should sign up for the "90 Day Fiance" reality tv show. We wernt married yet just dating and i am sure I could have put some great footage on screen as the weird american in a foreign country. Like the time I asked her father for his permission to marry his daughter, no one around understood english.
  10. Thats a question for @gimruisto answer to, i am anti viking since 1964. Whats up with your qb and wide reciever jefferson staying in minn g-man?
  11. I always look into my past so i can figure where i want to go in the future. For example my wife and i are going to go on a couple long vacations this year, problem is i have been to every state in the usa and am having trouble deciding where i would want to revisit and hoping she would like it. So i am going through my memory bank which brings back memories of past friends i could visit along the way, good memories, bad memories of places, do i want a do over to experience more than the first time, do i want to see how places have changed from 20 plus years ago.....
  12. I lived and worked in san fran for 5 years and went to the old candlestick park to watch niners and packers. The niners moved the team to Santa Clara alienating the city of san fran fanbase. Santa Clara is home to vampires lurking throughout and the niners will never win another superbowl, they are cursed.
  13. I know you know that i have accidently drank my own pee from my pee bottle which is the same as my regular drinking bottles that are used gatorade bottles i have lined up on the nightstand. My bathroom is 15 feet or so from my bed, i pee into bottle at times because if i walk to the toilet and pee my aim is off and my squirt hits the rim like a missed 3 pointer and if i sit down sometimes i actually fall asleep and catch myself from falling off toilet, no turning on light when using bottle. I have had many surgeries which limited my mobility at that time so the bottle came into play, just like laying in a hospitol bed they dont want you to get up so they give you the plastic pee container. Also during my military days during training and having to sleep in our foxhole, camping days instead of getting out of my pickup topper where i had my air mattress and was all cozy or if i was sleeping in my tent the bottle or milk carton came in handy.
  14. why are so many of us gettin up to pee? i also have to get up to pee and sometimes just pee in an empty water bottle saving the walk.
  15. the agent told me that progressive has the cheapest rates in the industry to date, also agent was telling me that minnesota was hit hard last year with hail storms and alot of claims were filed causing a few ins companies to fold and others stopped insuring in minn. According to the agent minnesota ranked 2nd behind california in insurance claim losses beating out florida.
  16. Notified by letter my AAA car ins policy will end on expiry date and will not be renewed due to AAA pulling its car ins out of ND. So i thought i would never find ins that cheap again $182.00 for 6 months for full coverage on my 2004 honda civic 500.00 deductable. It turned out i walked into a local insurance company just to inquire and i walked out with new car ins through progressive at a reduction and now pay $120.00 for full coverage, at $500.00 deductable, all parameters are the same as the aaa but now i have car rental added which i didnt before. I did not get the roadside assistance as i belong to the Premiere AAA club.

Personally and according to some experts i would deactivate the engine start-stop feature and deactivate the cylinder deactivation system, read up on it and learn about the problems associated with it if it is concerning to you. GM 6.2L EcoTec3 L86/L87 Engine Specs, Problems & Reliability GM/Chevy 6.2L EcoTec3 Info The L86/L87 is an all-aluminum 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated and direct-injected gasoline V8 engine developed by GM for use in pickup trucks and SUVs (Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, and more). This 6.2L V8 engine is a part of the Gen5 small bock engine family also known as EcoTec3. The L86 version debuted in 2014 and replaced its predecessor out of Vortec truck engines - the L92 6.2-liter motor. The successor to the L86, the L87 version, came out in 2019. Both engines are basically identical, but the newest L87 variant uses Dynamic Fuel Management instead of the L86's Active Fuel Management. The 6.2L EcoTec3 was also available in Chevy sports cars and higher performance Cadillac models - LT1, LT2, and supercharged LT4 and LT5 versions. But in this article, let's take an in-depth look at the design of L86/L87 truck engines, their common problems, and reliability. GM 6.2 EcoTec3 Engine Overview As was said, the GM 6.2 L86 and L87 are all aluminum engines. They use a 90-degree aluminum cylinder block with cast-in iron cylinder liners. By the way, the engine block is similar to the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 version. The 6.2-liter engine gets its displacement from the increased bore of 103.25 mm (4.065 in). The 92 mm (3.622 in) stroke is the same across all Gen5 small block engines. The rotating assembly features a forged-steel crankshaft, I-beam powder-metal connecting rods (6.098 in long), and cast aluminum domed pistons optimized for direct injection. Like 5.3L V8 L83, this engine also got piston oil jets/squirters, variable-displacement oil pump (wet sump), and nodular main bearing caps. All of these components work both well for improving engine efficiency and extending long-term engine durability. The 6.2L EcoTec3 engine features a pushrod OHV design and a single camshaft sitting inside the engine block. Aluminum cylinder heads come with two valves per cylinder (16 valves total). Pushrods activate intake and exhaust valves via low-friction roller-pivot rocker arms. Furthermore, the valvetrain includes hydraulic roller-lifters, and no valve clearance adjustment is required. Instead of the already conventional VVT system found of most modern engines with DOHC, the L86/L87 uses a dual-equal camshaft phasing system that adjusts timing at the same rate for both intake and exhaust valves. Compared to the 5.3L motor, the L86 6.2L version has larger valves. The intake valve diameter is 2.126 in. (54 mm); the exhaust valve diameter - 1.590 in. (40.4 mm). Pushrods are the same 7.85 inch-long with 0.342 in. (8.7 mm) outside diameter. The camshaft has the following specs: 200/207 duration (intake/exhaust), 0.551 in./0.524 in. valve lift for intake and exhaust, respectively. In addition to a tank-located low-pressure fuel pump, the 6.2L L86/L87 engine has an additional high-pressure fuel pump mounted in the valley between cylinder heads. The camshaft drives the HP pump by an additional cam called a trilobe. This pump pressurizes fuel up to 15Mpa (150 bar) and sends it to direct injectors. And then, direct fuel injection technology precisely shoots fuel directly into the combustion chamber. Engineers also placed platinum-tipped spark plugs closer to the center of the combustion chamber to further improve the combustion process. The electronically controlled ignition system Quick Sync 58X also features individual coils near plugs design and low-resistance spark plug wires. The truck-style intake manifold is made of composite material. It's fitted with a drive-by-wire electronic throttle body with a 4-bolt 87 mm throttle valve. The engine also got the newest E92 ECU, which manages all electronic systems and engine data. Active Fuel Management Technology The 6.2L L86 version features GM's Active Fuel Management (AFM) technology. The AFM is a cylinder deactivation technology that alternates between V-4 and V-8 modes depending on load conditions. It is an oil-operated system that deactivates the lifters on selected cylinders, closing the valves for those cylinders. The newer 6.2L L87 version switched to the latest Dynamic Fuel Management technology (DFM) that alternates between any of 17 different firing orders based on demand, calculated every 125 milliseconds. Both engines can run on gasoline or gasoline-ethanol blends of up to 85% ethanol (E85). Chevy/GMC trucks and SUVs with the 6.2L EcoTec3 motor are flex-fuel capable. Unfortunately, these two things are rarely combined with durability. The 6.2L EcoTec3 truck engine is not an exception. GM 6.2L L86/L87 Common Problems Here is the list of the most common Chevy/GMC 6.3L V8 EcoTec3 engine problems: Carbon build-up on the intake valves Lifters collapse and bent pushrods caused by AFM system Direct injection related problems (HP pump and direct injectors failure) Unreliable intake manifold gaskets Broken exhaust manifold bolts While the last three common issues are not a big thing and a carbon build-up is the nature of almost every other direct-injected engine, stuck lifters and bent pushrods really hurt the reliability score of the 6.2L L86 motor (more information in the 5.3L EcoTec3 engine review). And this is doubly painful because this problem usually occurs on low-mileage, almost new trucks. Although the warranty may cover all fixes, the potential issue in the future undermines your confidence in your vehicle. We believe the newest 6.2L L87 version with the Dynamic Fuel Management system is the better choice and hope that it is less prone to lifter failures. GM 6.2L L86/L87 Reliability Summary Drawing the line, is the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 a good, reliable engine? Yes, it's not unreliable by any means. Of course, the engine is not perfect, and problems will occur, especially with age. But it also does not mean that the common problems above occur on every 6.2 EcoTec3 V8. To extend the engine life, use premium 93-octane gasoline, pour only recommended oil, and keep your vehicle well maintained. With regular service intervals and proper maintenance, Chevy/GMC 6.2 L86/L87 engines can last over 250,000 miles. ← More GM Engines
  20. Can someone tell me why this happens, are the crows afraid of gettin eaten? Are crows ballsy bad azzz? Last fall i saw a medium sized hawk type bird sittin in a tree and the black crows were going nuts chirping making a fuss, then 2 big crows went at it and chased it away and escorted it away untill it was gone fom sight.
  21. sorry for your families loss.
  22. years ago a male pheasant flew into a very large store front facing window where i worked at in north dakota and broke its neck. Brought it home and ate it. When i was working in san francisco as a mechanic a fellow employee on his way to work came upon a freshly hit deer on the roadway, he put the deer in his truck brought it to work . He hung the deer up on a forklift and cleaned it on his own time. Later that week we had a meeting and heads rolled, no more road kill allowed into shop and the guy was transferred to another branch.
  23. I miss June Carter Cash.
  24. Baltimore Orioles early bullpen look. Written by Tony from orioles hangout website. Locks: Closer: Craig Kimbrel – He’s a drop off from Bautista but his number were actually pretty good last year after a dreadful start that saw him lose his closer duties for awhile. Let’s hope he doesn’t get off to another poor start. He also had a meltdown game in the World Series. Setup: Yennier Cano – A groundball machine, he’s a great guy to bring in for that double play, but he doesn’t miss bats enough to be a great impact setup guy. Setup/MR: Cionel Perez – The lefthanded version of Cano in that gets lots of groundballs, but doesn’t miss enough bats. Plus, his command can be shaky from outing to outing sometimes. Setup/MR: Danny Coulombe – A great story last year, he was really good in the 1st half, but fell back a bit in the second half when he didn’t miss as many bats. He’s probably better matching up earlier. Set/MR/LR: Tyler Wells – Unless there is an injury, this Wells is going to be in the bullpen and he could be used in many roles. He dominated in his five relief outings after coming back from AAA, but he didn’t miss a ton of bats and we all know he can be homer prone at times, so is he the guy you want in the 8th inning holding a one-run lead? Other Candidates: Setup/MR: Dillon Tate – Who actually knows what you can expect from Tate after missing all of 2023 with right elbow/forearm injuries? Tate reportedly “Looks unbelievable” according to manager Brandon Hyde after seeing him in some workouts in January, but he’ll be 30-years old this year and has never been a guy who misses many bats. He has two options available as well so he could be sent back to AAA for depth in order to keep guys out of options. MR/LR: Mike Baumann – Speaking of one of those guys with no options, Baumann is a guy who will not make it through waivers so he’s got a great chance at claiming a bullpen spot. Another guy who doesn’t miss bats at a high rate, he’s better in that 5th/6th inning role and hopefully will be used in more two inning outings vs the one inning or less he was used in most of his appearances. MR/LR: Cole Irvin – With five right-handed starters in the rotation, having a left-handed long guy is important in my estimation and Irvin pitched quite well in the role last year after struggling with command in the rotation early last year. MR: Jacob Webb – Another guy with no options, Webb might be remembered by some for giving up the homers in the playoffs against the Rangers (after giving up none with the Orioles in the regular season), but he actually pitched quite well for the Orioles after being claimed on waivers last August. He’s in competition with Tate and Baumann for that last spot in the pen unless the Orioles decide to send Irvin back to be AAA starter depth. LR: Bruce Zimmermann – The forgotten man on the 40-man roster, the left-handed starter/long reliever will need an injury to find his way onto the 26-man roster to start the year. He still has one option left and will most likely by AAA starting pitching/long relief depth. MR/LR: Keegan Akin – Almost forgot about this lefty but he’s still on the 40-man roster and his slight chances of making the team did slightly improve when Hall was traded. He could not follow up on his breakout 2022 season and was eventually sent back to AAA where he eventually was shutdown due to an injury in late July. Rehabbed and made some late appearances, but wasn’t brought back up in September. He has an option left so he’s ticketed for AAA without some injuries occuring. MR: Bryan Baker – Baker actually wasn’t that bad in 2023, but did manage to get himself optioned in late July when the Orioles needed a fresh arm and only found his way back for one three inning appearance in September. With an option left, it’s going to be tough for him to find his way onto the team without injury, especially with Baumann and Webb in competition for that last spot in the bullpen. MR: Nick Vespi – Back in the day when teams would keep a LOOGY because they were allowed to face less than three batters, Vespi would have a chance with his ability to dominate lefties. The problem is he has to face righties too. He’s a DFA candidate if the team’s needs a 40-man roster spot but with an option remaining, he’ll be left-handed relief depth in Norfolk. At the end of the day, while there is some quality pitchers here, the Orioles are in need of another shutdown high leverage reliever. Perhaps packaging Baumann with Norby would bring someone back or maybe they will have to add others, but with a rotation that looks as good as any Orioles rotation in 30 years or more, it would be ashamed to see a bullpen blow too many leads because they didn’t get that guy.
