  1. Amen to that!
  2. Guess that's why I always liked old country music. It reminded me that I needed to drink whiskey, chase women, etc. etc. ;D
  3. Yipppeee! I was beginning to think it had been canceled.
  4. Whatever is recommended in the owners manual.
  5. ^ yep, and this is the end result.
  6. Those safety pliers look mighty handy. I could probably find more than a couple of uses for them.
  7. I picked up some stuff at Dick's early this year in the clearance buckets. I ordered a couple of knives recently on line so the budget is shot for new gear.
  8. ;D Well, regardless of WHO said it, there's still one born every minute. ;D
  9. Remember the words of P.T. Barnum.
  10. My brother-in-law is allergic to work.
  11. You could always say the same thing "Peanut" says to Jeff Dunham. "Dude, you need a tic/tac". ;D
  12. It is not warm, I have not been fishing. I feel your pain.
  13. What a worthless, arrogant, self-absorbed (bleep) he is, IMO. Just one more reason, on the ever expanding list, that I have for NOT watching any prime time TV.
  14. Something like this, only there is no white box, it doesn't exist. In photoshop I made the box transparent.
  15. Just make the fish blue, black and white, superimpose it against the Orange I, but cut the whole logo out, around the I and the fish and eliminate the blue box. You are still using all the colors. If you were going to put the logo on a shirt, for instance, you would not want to put the box on it. Think of any logo such as is on a baseball cap. They are not in boxes, they are "cut out" so to speak.
  16. I'm really not liking the orange on the top of the fish. Too much contrast between that and the blue. I'm having trouble figuring out what the "shape" is. Of course, I know its a bass, but others may not. I would like to see the bass darker against the orange "I" and the background around the "I" eliminated. Just my $.02.
  17. Who or what is TT?
  18. Yeh, my son took his 4wd Ranger out. New alternator, new radiator (plugged the old one with mud), had to clean all the brakes. He had mud up in the cross member, the control arms, the driveshaft u joints, and just about everywhere else you could think of under there. Took hours to clean, scrape and hose hundreds of pounds of caked mud out from under that truck. He's still alive...only because it's illegal to kill him. >
  19. Several years into driving, as a young man, I used to like to "fool around" in the snow, donuts in parking lots, etc. I really believe that was excellent practice for learning how to control a car in a slide, what its limitations were, how far you could push it, etc. I think most winter accidents are probably caused by the complete moron who drives like it's summertime or by people who are literally afraid of their vehicle and haven't the slightest clue about what to do if a slide or spin occurs, even if they were driving slow
  20. Unfortunately, that doesn't help when you or someone else is being mauled.
  21. I don't mind driving in snow, been doing it every winter of my life. I don't worry about my driving skills, its the other guy. I driven everything from rear wheel drive standards and autos, front wheel drive standards and autos and 4WD. I've never had a winter accident (knocks on wood). Know your limitations and more importantly, assume the other guy is a complete moron with absolutely no driving skills. ;D
  22. Nah, that wouldn't give me any satisfaction. I realize they are only doing their job, but I don't care. I consider those unwanted calls to be an intrusion of my privacy. I know, I know. I'm just an old grouch. But, I was doing that when I was a young grouch. With caller ID, I can ignore the unwanted calls. If it's an important call, they can leave a message at the tone. No, I used to be very polite, sometimes I would even listen to the pitch. I had one call that sounded good so I made an appointment for the rep to come talk to me. I was even more interested while she was here and signed up for their credit card program. Only after that, when I had enough info to do some research, did I find out how bad a reputation that company had. Needless to say I canceled immediately but had a lot of trouble doing so. I know, it was my fault for even agreeing to the meeting in the first place. Believe me when I tell you that if I had not canceled within the 3 day period, I could have been on the hook for thousand's of dollars in a contract that would have been extremely difficult if not impossible to break. Meeting with the company's rep opened the door to extreme high pressure. The last call signed me up for something through nothing but sheer fraud. Nope, not polite anymore.
  23. I love that one. Gonna try it on the next call! ;D
  24. I don't get either mag, but thanks for the heads up. I'm at the point now where I tell telemarketers something worse than taking that long walk. I had one call not long ago and told me that they were taking my name off of their call list and that it would be recorded and I just needed to answer some questions. Problem was the salesman talked over the recorded questions. Next thing I know I'm enrolled in a business solutions company with a $50 charge per month on my phone bill. I've had it with these scam artists. I used to at least be polite. Not any more! >
