  1. Hey BassResource, I was on the lookout for some lighter action casting rods, specifically those around a medium light, for my pond fishing. I was wondering what kind of rods around this action were available for the price of about $100-150 on Tackle Warehouse. I have already found some options like the Castaway Skeleton Nano. I was planning to pair this rod with the Abu Garcia REVO AL-F which has a shallower spool for lighter baits. Was thinking of throwing weightless 4 inch senkos, 1/4 oz rattle traps, and maybe some finesse baits like dropshots or ned rigs on this set up.
  2. When I fish ned rigs, I usually use the normal shroom jig heads but I dont like that there is an exposed hook and the weedless shroom head jig's weed guards aren't to effective in my oponion. Have any of yall used a light twistlock shakyhead as a weedless ned rig jig head?
  3. I picked up some toads that were green pumpkin on the top and a white pearl color on the bottom. I don't have any double hooks that were made for toads or any weighted swimbait hooks and decided to just use a 4/0 superline ewg hook. Would my toad roll around a lot when just straight retrieving it? I feel that if it were to roll around it wouldn't look very natural to the fish.
  4. Edit: I forgot to add this to the original post. Where if fish frogs, there isn't a lot of heavy cover. I frog fish around open water.
  5. Heavy rods are my go to for frog fishing. But fishing extremely light frogs were hard to cast. Should I stick with a heavy power rod or go down to a medium or medium heavy?
  6. How much does a Zoom Baby Brush Hog weigh?
  7. How much does a magnum fluke weigh? Should I throw on the setup I throw for jerkbaits and flukes (a 6 foot 6 medium, 7:4:1 Gear ratio reel)
  8. How big are the bass (in the lbs) do you catch before you re tie your lure.
