  1. I'm new to baitcasters as well and I spooled my lew's tp with some 14-lb trilene xl and so far I love it!
  2. I use power pro ss v2 which I love. I hear alot of good things about smackdown and sufix 832 and 131 which I will try next. As for fc I use sniper and invizx and for mono I like trilene xl.
  3. I have a Diawa BG 2500 that I love. Try one they are superior in the 100 dollar range. Strong and smooth plus they look good.
  4. I love mine it's super smooth and it looks real good just get one you'll see.
  5. Get a tournament pro instead it's a much better baitcaster and it has an aluminum frame you'll thank me later.
  6. Great thanks what's the best way to rig them?
  7. I've heard good things about these. Has anyone used them before? What colors would work best in stained waters thanks and Happy Thanksgiving BR!
  8. Another vote for the Diawa BG 2500 it's a fantastic reel for the money a true workhorse!
  9. I was looking at the tp1 black medium power to add to my tournament pro but instead I changed my mind I'm going with the speed stick lite it's a better and lighter rod and you can get one on sportsman's outfitters for the same price as tp1 black but if you're heart is set on the tp1 then go for it even cheaper on so.
  10. I've always loved the original floating minnow it was always a reliable fish catcher for me. I just picked up a Skitter V and it's probably my new favorite rapala. But that og slim does look nice though might need to try one some day.
  11. A weightless yamamoto senko in a black blue fleck would be my first choice.
  12. I just picked up a Lew's tournament pro and I plan on pairing that with a medium speed stick lite or a mojo bass but I'm not sure yet. This setup would be mainly for my topwater and moving baits but whatever the outcome will be I'm sure I'll be happy with it. Just use what you have confidence in good luck!
  13. I just put a order in for some topwater baits because I just love to fish them and I get bit. If the whopper plopper isn't working for you try others like a shower blow, spook jr, river2sea rover or sexy dawg in different colors see what they want. Try different retrieves sometimes they like it fast or slow good luck!
  14. I just picked up a Lew's tournament pro lfs on sportsman's outfitters for 134.99 promo code abandoned. So for that price and for that reel for me was a no brainer!
  15. I settled on the evergreen sb and the river2sea rover pro tuned both in bone. The vixens when they become available will also be part of my collection. Does anybody fish the livingston boss or rapala skitter v and if so are they worth it?
  16. Ochos are good but Senkos are still king!
  17. Wow some great options I thank everyone!
  18. Thanks A-Jay I will pick up one of those Duo Realis. What color do you like?
  19. Thanks what colors do you like or do best on?
  20. I was looking into these thanks! What colors would work bluegill or bone?
  21. Looking for some of the best walk the dog lures to add to my arsenal. I'm trying to find the ones that walk the best. I'm putting together my first baitcasting combo and I'm very excited about it. This setup will be mostly for my topwater. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
  22. One word.... Mann's Baby 1-Minus
  23. Owner Ultra shaky heads work best for me.
