So far I've spent about 20 hours on the upper bay the past week and caught 6 fish the biggest being 4 pounds. unfortunately all the fish have been caught in the same 100 yard stretch on a dinger. do you by chance have a favorite search bait? lol i can only throw a weightless worm for so long before I lose my patience. thank you for the advice. from what i understand the upper bay is better in the spring/early summer than it is now.

Hey everyone! new to the forums and wanted to say hello. I fish mainly the potomac but want to try to fish the upper bay because I keep hearing good things. Was wondering if anyone had any tips/hints to get started. not sure how similar it is to the potomac beyond it being tidal

Hey everyone, Me and my brother just went out to the Susquehana flats for the first time yesterday and had an okay day flipping soft plastics but we felt overwhelmed by the incredible amount of grass there. I'm looking forward to dissecting it more but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what areas to key on or a favorite bait for covering water there. We found an area with some sparse grass in about 4 feet of water at low tide which helped us catch a couple nice ones but we had a hard time finding more fish. thanks in advance.

Thank you a ton. This was the type of break down I was looking for. I had a feeling I would end up needing to move the unit to the console but just wanted a second opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about lol.

Hey all, I Just purchased a new elite 7ti with 3-in-1 active imagine and mounted it on the trolling motor of my nitro 290. I have a gen 2 hds 5 mounted on the console. I mainly fish the upper Chesapeake bay and Potomac river for large mouth bass so i spend most of my time on the bow of the boat so i mounted the new unit there. Side scan is new to me so I'm unsure of how to use it effectively in my shallow water fishing or if that is overkill. So essentially does anyone have any tips for fishing in under 6 feet with side scan on a trolling motor/is it an effective tool to use? Also any potential advice regarding settings would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
