  1. Thank you all for the advice. I am now really excited about possibly getting this boat. You guys are the best.
  2. I I have the opportunity to get this exact boat. It is not my preferred color. I like how the white looks, but I'm worried about keeping it clean. I have never owned a boat. How big of a headache will keeping this boat clean be? I fish a lot of clear lakes, but I also fish some stained water. Are the scum lines so hard to get off that it isn't worth a boat this color?
  3. I have looked at that one and i would say its still on the short list. I just really like big bass-style casting deck though. that's the only hang up for me
  4. Wow that is another good option, I will be looking into that one. Thanks! That is longer than I would expect, my garage might be a bit tight. I might be able to go diagonal with it though. But thank you for all the videos you have made on your boat. I'm a big youtube user and I have really been enjoying your channel. keep up the good work!
  5. Thanks for the advice. I don't plan on getting out there very often, and definitely watching the weather before going out there. I agree a huge glass boat would be best out there, but 95% of the time i fish under 1000 acre lakes. I just can't justify a boat that size.
  6. To be honest I sat in a renegade and while I really liked it, I just worry that I will end up wanting to fish some really big water, like Green Bay. I'm actually looking more into a pro v bass. I have never bought a boat before and I just don't want to make a mistake.
  7. Already watched all of his youtube videos/subscribed to his channel. He is one of the main reasons i want that boat!
  8. I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a lund 1875 pro v bass. Does anyone on here have any thoughts on this boat? How does a 150 hp motor push this boat around? And does anyone know specifically how long the boat/motor/trailer is with a swing away tongue? I've got 23 feet of garage to work with. Thanks!
  9. I went with a cheap jet ski trailer and then removed the bunks and built a carpeted plywood deck on it. it was awesome. i would recommend that route.
  10. I'm looking at buying a new aluminum mod v bass boat. I've really narrowed it down to a lund renegade or a ranger rt188. My main question is about the recent quality of ranger boats. Has anyone noticed any decline in quality since ranger is now under new ownership? I like the layout of the ranger better, but I am hesitant to buy from a company that puts their name behind tracker. thank you.
  11. thanks for everyone's replies. So it sounds like a mod-v will be OK as long as it isn't extremely windy and I drive slow.
  12. I'm looking at buying my first fishing boat. I fish a lot of smaller lakes that have good boat launches, but also get out on some mid-sized lakes (roughly 4,000 acres) occasionally. I like to fish for bass, panfish and walleye. I'm looking for the opinion of guys that have owned aluminum mod-v boats and traditional v-hull boats. Specifically, I'm looking at either a lund renegade or a lund rebel or impact. Right now I'm leaning towards a lund renegade. Has anyone gone to a mod-v hull and regretted the switch? I know mod-v hulls aren't the best in huge waves, but how do they handle on an average wind day on a mid-size lake? thank you.
  13. Thanks for your input. If it pairs well with a 5 inch senko I'm sure it'll work well with moderate size tubes as well.
  14. That's awesome to hear. I have no experience with g loomis at all. I live in wisconsin just a couple hours from St. Croix HQ, so I have only really used their rods. I'm hoping that a MH g loomis is kind of like a M St. Croix. Ive heard St. Croix runs heavier than their ratings. Either way I'm glad to hear you like the 843S for senkos and tube jigs, I was a little worried after I bought one online!
  15. Thanks. I would of rather got an 842, but all they had in stock was an 843. Hopefully I find a use for it. I just wanted to try a conquest more than anything and see what the hype was all about
  16. I found a deal on a conquest 843S rod and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular strength/action rod. I normally prefer a medium action rod, but again I found this rod on a deal. Will this rod be too hefty for senkos or tube jigs? Would I be better off saving my money for a 2 power (medium) rod? Thank you.
  17. Thank you for your help guys! I think I will probably go with a conquest then.
  18. I am looking to add a medium-heavy spinning rod to my arsenal. I already have medium lite and medium spinning rods that I really like, but I want something a little heavier for tube jigs and smaller football head jigs. I came across a deal on a conquest 843S that puts it about at the price of a new NRX. My main concern is sensitivity. I've always heard that the NRX is the standard in sensitivity. How do conquests compare? Also, does anyone have any experience with the 843 rod from g loomis? Thank you for your input.
  19. 6 inch senko weightless is too much for this rod you think? I would assume a small weighted tube would also be a little heavy. Unfortunately I live nowhere near a dealer to look at these rods
  20. I'm looking to buy a high end spinning set up for for soft plastics. I throw a weightless senko 90% of the time, and occasionally light tubes or a drop shot. My question for you all is regarding braided line. I am pretty set on using braided line. Has anyone had any issues with using a braid to fluoro leader and having the leader knot get stuck on the small REC guides of the NRX? Does anyone have any other rod recommendations for a senko rod? Looking for the most sensitive rod I can get. I also looked into the new St. Croix Legend Xtreme. Thank you
  21. i was wondering that but wasnt sure, thanks
  22. Does anyone know of a brand that makes a dual electronics mount for a lund renegade? I am trying to mount 2 humminbird helix's side by side at the console. Most brands I have come across are all brand-specific and they only list an option for a lund pro-v. Has anyone ever done this? thank you.
  23. Lund's website shows a carpet or vinyl option. So I'm guessing you mean the vinyl option would be better?
  24. I'm looking at buying my first boat: lund renegade. I really like the looks of a black color scheme. Is this a bad idea? will the boat get too hot and show dirt/scratches? Also, how does an 1875 renegade handle larger bodies of water? I'm not talking anything huge, 5000 acres max and on very rare occasion and not in any extreme winds. Thank you for your help.
