  1. Hi, I am selling my lightly used St. Croix Victory 6'10 medium light extra fast spinning rod. $115 shipped to Continental US. This rod is awesome for drop shot and Ned rig. Also good for small finesse jerkbaits. The tip is nice and limber but it transitions into backbone fairly quickly. All around a great rod for the price. I have too many spinning rods and need to thin the herd since I've recently picked up a few megabass and nrx plus rods. Text me at 704-577-6328 for pics. The overall condition is really good without any noticeable wear or scratches. It's what you'd expect from light use. Thanks!
  2. Yes. 821 ned rig and 872 jwr are awesome. I use 821 for ned rig and wacky senko, and the 872 is the best shakey head rod ever created.
  3. Magic is my favorite color. It's somewhere in between watermelon and green pumpkin.
  4. Just wanted to say these have been a game changer for me. awesome worm. The tail really stays up on a shaky head. Definitely a huge improvement over the regular trick worm.
  5. Vmc neko hooks are great. I like size 1 or 1/0
  6. Phenix feather is worth considering
  7. Panther martin inline ned rig rapala original floating minnow
  8. Good choice. I really like my Victory 6'10" medium light. I think the tip is fine for open hook presentations (drop shot, wacky senko, ned rig). It is impressively light weight (around 3 ounces) for the price point.
  9. I catch largemouth on KVD dreamshot. I like triple magic the best.
  10. I would try drop shotting the deep parts, with a small bait - e.g., KVD Dreamshot, 4" roboworm, jackall crosstail shad, etc.
  11. I actually think it is on the lighter side of medium light. But that is mostly a seat of my pants determination, and I am far from an expert. I think the spongy tip is what I didn't like about using it for the ned rig. But the tip is really great for stationary and slowly dragging a drop shot.
  12. I fished my new Victory spinning rod (6'10") ML for the first time today. First off, this thing is light. I mean like crazy light. It helps that I paired it with a JDM Shimano Vanquish 2000. The vanquish is 5.1 oz, so the whole combo clocks in at 8.2 oz. I used the rod for 2 presentations: 1/15 oz ned rig with trd, and (2) drop shot with KVD dreamshot and 3/16 oz cylinder weight. The rod has a soft/spongy tip. I didn't love the rod for the ned rig - it just felt too disconnected (most rods do with a 1/15 oz weight). I like my Megabass Addermine better for the ned. Eager to try the NRX+ 821 NRR ned rig rod someday. But I loved the Victory for drop shot. I had no problem feeling bites, sensitivity was good. Probably not as sensitive as my Addermine or my NRX 852s. But the tip is perfect for drop shot. Very soft but then transitions to backbone pretty quickly. I lost my first fish because my drag was way too loose (I was scared I would break off with 6 lb test). I tightened my drag and then landed my second bass. It was around 2 lbs, and fought above its class. The rod handled the fish well. It's a lighter weight rod (on the lighter side of medium light), so you definitely enjoy the fight more than usual. Although I had tightened my drag for this one, the fish still made two or three runs where it was pulling line and the drag clicker was singing. By the way, the Vanquish is insane. I have a certate lt 2500 , a luvias lt 2000FC, and stradic fl 3000. The vanquish is the smoothest of the bunch with so little start up inertia. I put 8 lb Berkley x9 braid (which is fantastic by the way) coupled with 6 lb trilelene sensation as a leader.
  13. I have a fenwick eagle medium light spinning, and I hate it. It supposedly moderate fast, but it's way too parabolic for my taste. I would seriously give it to you for free if you are near atlanta, ga.
  14. I have their 3 piece 9 foot and 11 foot surf rods. I think the surf rods are great for the money.
  15. Try the kvd dreamshot on a dropshot rig. Use a small gamakatsu no. 1 dropshot hook, 3/16 oz clip on sinker. I catch small bass with this setup. A 4 inch roboworm is also good.
