  4. It can get tough but its awesome fun when you get into a group of fish. Water level/Clarity changes a lot though. After a good rain, the water turns to chocolate milk.
  5. Looks like Mattawoman!? Awesome job!
  6. Biggest one of the day. Sorry for the poor quality pic.
  7. Theres nothing wrong here. I know the river like the back of my hand from Fletchers Boathouse to Smallwood. I've caught a couple hundred pounds of bass on the river already this summer, and as much as I love punchin' and flippin' and froggin', I'm ready to try something new. I was out today on Triadelphia Reservoir MD. Caught about 10 or so on a Carolina Rig and Drop Shot. The bite is slow and deep. 5 best went about 12lbs. Looking to try Fountainhead this week because the lake seems a lot like Triadelphia. I'll post pictures later.
  8. Shoot I have been on the river everyday all summer long. Lookin to give something else a try. And the Upper Bay isn't in top shape right now and its a long way from home.
  9. Haven't really considered Fountainhead. I heard it can get really tough there as well though. I just wanna catch fish haha.
  10. Michelle43 - I have a 18' 08 PT 175 so I would be just fine on Burke. I'm trying to figure out where to go man. I heard that Lunga can be tough fishin too. I might be goin to Triadelphia tomorrow and then fish Lunga all next week. I have no clue haha.
  11. Anyone know how the fishin is over there? I'm heading out tomorrow for the first time ever at that lake. I just wanna caught fish. Or does anyone have any other recommendations for me? Like Accotink or Lunga? Thanks Holden
  12. Your kinda cute for a fisherwoman :
  13. Those darn Muskies. I caught a good 35" on a popper last June on the Allegheny River. Man do they put up a fight.
  14. If you are looking for some good fishing in and around DC, I would fish the C&O Canal. I have caught a lot of good ones out of there. Down by Fletchers boat house usually works pretty good for me. Finesse Um. I would also throw 1/4 oz. Bladebaits but keep in mind that there is a lot of wood in there to get snagged on.
  15. I'm gettin bit pretty good up in DC. I don't know how far of a trip that is for you though.
  16. Sweet Deal Man! 8-) Hey, when are we going to get on the river! I had a nice bag this past weekend.
  17. Like Memo said, Bank or Boat?
  18. I know there is plenty of Saltwater fishing in Ixtapa but I would like to know if there is any bass fishing near there? Will any regular farm pond hold Largmouth in Mexico?
  19. Aaron Lewis Mike Mushok Dimebag Eric Clapton
  20. Great Book. Easily one of my favorites.
  21. We own a small house in Eldora, Colorado which is about an hour north of Boulder. It is a very small mining town that has a hell of a lot of history. One day, my girlfriend and my aunt, who has lived out there for her entire life decided to go explore a house that my aunt stumbled across one day in the early 80's. This house is in the middle of absolute NOWHERE and my aunt is still surprised that she was able to find it again. Anyways, this cabin stands at the top of a valley right above the tree line. There is a window looking out over the valley that you must walk through to enter the house. Okay so my girlfriend and my aunt decide to explore the barn first. In the barn, they find chests full of pictures that were from the late 1800's. Inside the barn, there was a well, a bed frame with old comforters and shattered glass everywhere. My aunt has a digital camera and she began taking pictures and in the pictures, balls of energy or "orbs" showed up throughout the film. Then my aunt decides to search the main cabin. She managed to remove the fallen tree that layed across the front of the door and she walked inside. She said it felt as if she had "walked back into history." She said the most everything in the house was still intact. There was a dining table, a stove, a couple of hand carved wooden chairs and a lot of shattered glass. It was very dark inside of the house because it was an overcast day and the windows were boarded up. My aunt remembers seeing a hint of sunlight coming from the stairs, so she makes her way up the stairs that led to the second story of the cabin. She remembers stepping over A LOT of shattered glass laying on the stairs. When she got upstairs, she saw glass everywhere on the ground. Broken chairs, and a bed metal bed frame faced toward the wall. There was one window in the far end of the room that looked over the valley. It was the only window in the house which was not boarded up. There was an old wooden rocking chair facing the window. After spending a couple minutes upstairs, she begins to walk down stairs. As soon as her head gets below level with the second story floor, she hears a slight banging from the room she had just left. Puzzled, she walks back up very quietly. She peaks her eyes at floor level. (She's on stairs coming from up from the first level.) At that very second she sees a figure of a woman sitting in the rocking chair and rocking back and forth. She then said that the woman turned as if she was looking back at my aunt and then she disappeared. My aunt immediately turned and raced down the stairs and all she remembers is hearing four or five loud thumps. As my aunt was on the last stair of the staircase, she felt a force pushing her that was gradually increasing. It ended up pushing so hard that it pushed my aunt in to the wall at the bottom of the stairs. At this point my aunt was screaming and she sprinted out of the house and down through the valley. My girlfriend, who had heard her screams, ran after her. After catching her breath. My aunt looked back up at the house sitting at the top of the valley and looked straight through the window on the second floor. And at that time she she got this strong feeling of sadness. That is all she ever tells anyone. My girlfriend says there is more to the story but only my aunt can truly tell what happened. Weird huh? I don't know what to make of the story. I have been to the cabin a couple times and it is definitely a weird place. We believe it is the cabin to the miner named William Harty. Supposedly Hartly and his wife both were snowed in during the middle of December and starved later that month. Crazy stuff.
  22. $387.95 Thanks Guys!
  23. You can launch a job boat here, but I guarantee it will be rough on you. There is awesome fishing right there but it would be risky to take a jon boat out. If you ever want to go fish, contact me. I would be willing to take you out there and show you some spots that are great for a jon boat. I know plenty
  24. He is just passionate about the things that he loves. When you watch Football, or Hockey, What do most fans do after their team scores? They cheer right? It is because they are passionate. Many of you might not want to hear this but, It is the exact same way with Mike. I understand how one could find him annoying. If that is the case, just don't watch him. He is the one who inspired me to take fishing to the next level and he is doing the same with thousands of kids across the United States. I would also really like to point out that Mike is one of the leaders in contribution to the V Foundation which is a Cancer Research Program. He donates $2 for every pound of fish that he catches every season. He is also the founder of the Mike and Myositis Charity Fundraiser. Its also helps that he can fish! A Bassmaster Classic win in 2003 and an Angler of the Year Award in 2006. Most would have given up after Mike's 2006? Bassmaster Classic but he kept trooping. If anyone has any spare time, I would really recommend his book Fishing on the Edge.
