  1. First lure is a Imakatsu- Kazlla.....Second is a Deps- Radscale Buffalo.
  2. Switched from a 6.2 to 7.0 back a few years ago and have not looked back.....
  3. I would not worry about the 722 having enough backbone on a hook set. That GLX is a great little stick for getting into tight places and will do the job you want it to.
  4. This ....http://img01.naturum.ne.jp/usr/mitsuhiro/2006-07-24-%20002.jpg or this...
  5. Not lately.... the Pike take care of that for me.
  6. How about what weight cranks you will be throwing.......
  7. Sweeet ........Congrats.
  8. Thanks John for clearing that up....What was the purpose of that.
  9. I just ordered some drag grease from Shimano and asked that question about the warranty being voided with the sauce and they told me no. It is supposed to come with two Dartainium Drag Washers, so how you got both is a mystery to me. My concern is you have two different styles of washers so you are not getting the max performance. Just order a set of CarbonTex and call it a day .......
  10. Must be an experimental reel........
  11. RM, Interesting always thought they got a light coat of drag grease, you say no.
  12. Stock reel should have two Dartainium drag washers....here is a image of Dartainium http://www.mcssl.com/content/172131/Shimano_Drag_Washers/bnt3915...JPG Here is a image of CarbonTex....... http://www.boatflyer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Freshwater%20Reels%20for%20sale-2129152811016709600.jpg Again you should be matching your drag washers either two Dartainium or two CarbonTex. Shimano Star Drag Grease is what I use and would recommend. Dartainium should get a light coat of grease. For CarbonTex I take a model paint brush with a very very small dab and then coat it. It should be so little you do not think it is covering it,just so there is enough to lube it....There are others that use Cals grease and do not lube CarbonTex so you will have to sort that out for yourself.
  13. CarbonTex are textured...It sounds like you have a smooth and a carbontex mixed. If you are are looking to get the most out of the drag you should have both carbontex. You can call Dawn at Smooth Drag and order them up there....http://www.smoothdrag.com
  14. Are your drag washers smooth or textured......
  15. Not sure what you mean by the hump........You could also get some cork rings and do the following. Sand off enough cork to mix with epoxy to fill the void and then sand it down until smooth and to the shape you want. I am assuming you have a hole or gouge etc.
  16. I would highly recommend a pair of these.......http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-inventory/21933/fishingspoolpinpliers-tools
  17. Dawn is great to deal with......http://www.smoothdrag.com
  18. And this..... EtymologyLepomis, in Greek, means 'scaled gill cover' and gobbosus means 'wide margin'. The defining characteristic of a pumpkinseed sunfish is the bright orange spot at the tip of the ear flap. The pumpkinseed sunfish is widely recognized by its shape of a pumpkinseed, which is where its common name comes from.[9]
  19. How about this......http://www.google.com/search?q=pumpkinseed+sunfish&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=fdCDUfXkAdW-4AO51oCYAw&sqi=2&ved=0CC0QsAQ&biw=1280&bih=647
  20. What a nut....http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Deputies-Despite-road-crew-s-warning-man-keeps-4485710.php
  21. I would expect to see some of that micro gearing coming across the pond....... i.e. Antares and Metanium.
  22. I would get on the phone, explain what happened and then send it back to Loomis........Been in your shoes before and see no advantage in altering the rod at all.
  23. Great tip ...Here is another use a nylon stocking. Just cut off enough so it fills up the guide while pulling it through(about 4" long). If there is a nick in it, the nylon will catch it.
  24. If you paid list/retail price, then you have a overpriced reel..........
