  1. Actually I have a collection of those little sockets as it started about 11-12 years ago when the DC 7 first came out. That so called socket is a pita having to insert a handle into it to make it work. A nut driver with a 10mm thin walled socket is a lot easier to use and certainly was not to hard figure that out......
  2. A 10 mm is all you need for the nut ......
  3. The ones that get picked up the most last season : Spinning- Stella FI Round- Conquest 50DC Low Profile- 16 Antares DC Bait Finesse- 15 Aldebaran BFS XG Limited That said all the reels that are in the quiver are the best otherwise they would not be there.......
  4. Very good review and to be frank that was my same exact experience with Tatsu. With that said I have had no problems with 15lb test and did recently purchase a 10lb spool of Tatsu to try this season trying to be objective. But for me Sunline Shooter FC Sniper will be my go to FC.....
  5. Antares DC would be a good starting point.....
  6. Jun's comment: This BFS has its body from Conquest 100, and spools and brake systems is from 16Aldebaran BFS, to make a solid ultra finesse bait caster. Spool is smaller than that of Conquest 100 reels. As to size this what Jun at Japan Tackle had to say.......
  7. That is for the 17 Conquest BFS HG......
  8. JLS has posted a price..... $393.05
  9. Does the reel have any drag and /or was the drag backed off when you made the video.
  10. There is a Lefty on Ebay.....
  11. Sunline Shooter Defier
  12. Not sure of the correction you need but you may want to look at contact lenses and check out mono vision if you have a problem seeing up close with your correction.
  13. A few more pictures , one with the Magnetic Brake https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.siamfishing.com/content/view.php%3Fnid%3D230353%26cat%3Dnew
  14. HaHaHa...and spinnerbaits too. Don't forget that 6lber that inhaled that frog of that stump that you had a week earlier on your spinner bait...I can still hear you screaming!!!
  15. It will be fun to compare this to the existing collection....

  17. This year it was the Pagani Siglett and Grand Siglett......really brought the "Brown Ones" up to the surface.
  18. They are both very sweet reels but to get to the point, in my opinion the 15 is a lot more finicky when it comes to dialing it in. d**n did I go through some serious backlash sessions, probably the worst I ever experienced in a reel but once it was dialed in it was worth every bit of the frustration it caused. The 16 was a whole different story very simple to adjust and all done externally not having to take off the side plate like the 15. In the end they are both great little reels doing exactly what they were designed for throwing light baits.....If you have patience get yourself a 15 Limited if not go with the 16 . I have nothing against super tuning a reel because I enjoy it myself however there is something to be said about these two reels coming straight out of the box and how they perform.....
  19. Every Shimano I own is my favorite however the one's I had the most fun with this season are....15 Alde BFS XG Limited , 16 Alde BFS XG and the 16 Antares DC HG....

  21. Very well said Mr. Goose...
  22. Sweet BFS sticks.......Translate this page
  23. The 16 has certainly raised the bar, but then again it was time for Shimano to revamp their Flagship DC reel. I for one do not have a problem with the Calais DC 7/ Antares DC with all the " it's to heavy or to big" however I have to tell you the 16 simply outperforms it. That said you would not be disappointed with a Calais DC7/Antares DC if distance is what you are after . I still employ a DC7 on a Frog rod and a Top Water rod with no problems getting distance it is just that the 16 goes farther and is more fun to use because of that. The 16's price was just under 560. when they first came out but as you know they have gone up which can be a factor however which one you choose I for one do not think you would be disappointed.....
