  1. Seagar Fluorocarbon lines on my reels. I was thinking of trying this budget option. The palamor knot has been my go to. I’ve never had an issue with it on fluorocarbon line.
  2. I too had a hacked account that traced backed to Tackle Warehouse. I placed an order before I knew it was TW who cleans behind those fraudulent charges. That order had arrived at the local UPS warehouse and was lost. It took too long to get a refund processed. I haven’t used them since.
  3. I’ve been in I.T. for over 20 years. I’ve seen more than my share of updates that didn’t go as planned.
  4. That happened to me recently. The dog growled and ran toward me. The owner pulled him back. He should be glad he did because I was carrying that day.
  5. This happened to me yesterday. Green Pumpkin Fat Ika....bite bite bite bite bite. Switched to blue back because I was out of green pumpkin. No bites, then switched to watermelon red flake No bites. Obviously the green pumpkin ika looks like something they feed on. The funny thing is, this particular lake is the only spot that is like this. Another spot I have, love a blue black chatterbait. None of the local stores (BP, Academy, Dicks nor Cabellas had any Green Pumpkin Fat Ika in stock). I found some online and ordered several bags.
  6. 1. Getting to close to me while I’m fishing. 2. Smoking 3. Littering 4. Allowing yourself dog to jump in the lake while I’m fishing. Especially, if you’re too close.
  7. Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago. I had a small bass, bite on a Fat Ika. He swallowed it pretty deep, I got it out, but he didn’t make it.
  8. Too much variation between 2 anglers using different colors. One person using the same lure, fishing the same spot and the only difference is the color would be a better test in my opinion
  9. Since green pumpkin has been my go to, I haven’t really paid much attention to water clarity and water color. My general thought process has always been green pumpkin unless it’s cloudy and then it’s black/blue. I will pay more attention to color & clarity. I do know there other parts of the lake where the clarity is much better and experiment with watermelon red.
  10. I need some help making sense out of situation that happened yesterday. I was out fishing yesterday morning between 6:30 and 8:00. The sun was to my back, I’ve learned during the shady areas of this particular lake seem to get me the most bites this time of day. There was not a cloud in the sky and the temps were between 75-80. I started off with a green pumpkin Krackin Craw. The fish that hit were smaller ones. I moved to another spot (still shady & the sun to my back). They wouldn’t bite on the craw so I switched to a Fat Ika, still green pumpkin. The fish were much bigger. I fished the Fat Ika until it was worn completely out. Unfortunately it was my last one if that color. The closet thing I had to green pumpkin was the Watermelon w/red & black flake. I didn’t get another bite the rest of the time I was there. I don’t think my technique was any different. Is it that much difference to a bass between those 2 colors?
  11. I went out Friday evening after knocking off from work. I caught one, weighed in at 1 lb 15 oz.
  12. I’ve been lurking on this board for sometime, but finally made the plunge to sign up. I consider myself a beginner. As a kid growing up in South Alabama most of the ponds we fished were stocked with Bluegill. Catching bass is different thrill altogether and I’m hooked.
