  1. I agree with @new2BC4bass on this. Because I didn’t know any better at the time, I bought the same exact Pline Fluor clear and it would break at the slightest amount of tension. Now I know why that stuff is still in stock everywhere...you can’t even give it away. I too bought my first Daiwa bc recently which was a Tatula 100 and it is flawless. It currently sits on a bass pro carbonlite rod 7’ MF for my shaky head rig. Love it and am now a fan.
  2. The things we come across just to wet a hook lol
  3. Yep just tied off for whatever reason.
  4. This is an exact example of why I purposely fish where there aren’t other people. I have a bad temper when it comes to stupid people especially when I just want to be left alone.
  5. Little slice of heaven. When I went bank fishing last week I trekked approximately half a mile further than I normally do Along the lake bank. I came across a spot that seemed untouched by mankind and was beautiful all around the slew. I could not find one single beer can or piece of trash on the ground anywhere. I silently proclaimed my new found honey hole as my own. Then as I turn around and set my back pack and rods down to retrieve a bag of zoom plastics....I see this. Of course it’s sideways when I upload the picture, but it’s a white power cord just wrapped around a branch for seemingly no reason. I literally felt robbed. I’m probably 1.5 miles alongside the bank at this point yet I find this crap. I can’t stand people who do this.
  6. Zoom trick/finesse worms-Lots of colors doing well for me especially black/June bug/Z3 Googan baits- Krackin Kraws and lunkerlogs. Reaction Innovations- Spicy Beavers in Black blue flake and okechobee craw.
  7. I have read some good things about 13 fishing as well and I will keep them in mind. I tend to lean towards M or ML because I can feel the sensitivity better when I hooping the lure across the bottom.
  8. My wife wanted to catfish the other evening while I was bass fishing so I got her set up on a spinning setup with a Carolina rig and when I cast it out for her it felt weird lol
  9. This thread reminds me that I need to tear down my spinning reels for some due cleaning and lube.
  10. Thanks to @Hammer 4 and his suggestion of sportsman outfitters, I now have a new Abu Garcia ALX bc reel on the way lol $129.99 for a $249 reel and I’m not complaining. Anyway this reel will be a dedicated T rig setup, but I need a good rod in the $100 range. 3/16 to 3/8 oz bullet weights will be used with 12-15# Seaguar Red Label. I’m preferably looking for something in the 6’9” to 7’ length Medium or Medium Light. I normally look at the Abu Vendetta rods first, but they are all gone in my normal places of interest and everywhere else it seems like. Im open to any suggestions right now for a rod and I may go a little higher on the price range if need be. Thanks!
  11. I just bought the Revo ALX on there just now. Bait monkey!!!
  12. Just tried it and it still works.
  13. Same here but Shakey head rigged. I too noticed that they would start to separate the same way.
  14. I’d get a 1000yd spool of Seaguar Red Label. I go through that stuff a lot quicker than I thought I would.
  15. I reckon so and to be honest I thought the brand was just hyped up because of Covid in the beginning, but I am a believer.
  16. I ordered up three packs of mondo worms from googan squad today because I have been itching to try a 10” worm on Texas rig! My local places never have them in stock and bass pro local to me never has them in watermelon red or June bug. Bad thing is I got an email from the confirming the order and it said to allow 10 business days to ship....:(
  17. 3/16 has been the money for me so far this year and I don’t doubt that you will have luck with it too.
  18. I just picked up some Z3 Magic trick worms from zoom and tried them this evening at the river bank. Got three small bass in 20 minutes. Great bait for sure!
  19. Gotcha. I was starting to think that it was brewing a little hostility lol thank you
  20. I had no clue that bass are active at night. Honestly I had no clue until about five minutes ago. So I took to google for what lures to bass fish at night with and saw that a lot folks use spinners, buzzbaits, chatterbaits and top water. What are your go to lures/baits for night time bass? T-Rigs I assume are out?
  21. Wow that is weird. I wonder if it has anything to do with separation of the salt or if it may have gotten a dose more while in the packaging process?
  22. I know right! I am a poster child for Seaguar fluorocarbon as it it my go to line for my setups and I think their Red Label FC is perfect for the price of $14.99. I wouldn’t pay a dime more for it though because that is my cut off on any line with the exception of braid which I rarely use much.
  23. Bingo!! If that’s not it, it’s very very close. You’re good lol
  24. It very well could be my friend. That was over 20 years ago and I remember thinking that surely a huge fish would love it. The exact name I don’t have a clue to what it was. It was purple and maroon with silver flakes in it.
  25. This is exactly my experience minus the brother in law and I was about 10 years old. I had only seen a curly tail worm in a bass fishing magazine. I was allowed to walk to the back part of our pasture where we had a medium sized pond that had a decent amount of bass for its size. I saved up my money and bought a pack of Zoom purplish maroon curly tail worms and some hooks(the wrong ones) and some bullet weights. Not only did I buy the wrong hooks, I put the worm on completely wrong. BUT, I did straight retrieve because I didn’t know any better and still caught some nice bass lol
