  1. Out of all the big names, Reaction innovation’s Spicy Beaver has worked the best for me T-Rigged.
  2. If you already haven't* I plan on using/trying Roboworms. I had ordered a couple packs from TW last year, but never got to try them as the wife and I had a baby and my time was with him and her. This is the closest to stock photo I could find on the worms. I got black and green pumpkin for my colors.
  3. The best part of trying lures is discovering what works for you. You may find a lure or a particular color that has no rhyme or reason to work when and how it does, but it just will. For example, I took a chance on a pack of Zman peanut butter and jelly colored trick worms. To my eye, it doesn’t look flattering whatsoever. However, I have caught more fish on that color than any other color for trick worms.
  4. Pretty much this. I’ve had pretty decent interactions with TW for the most part, but it’s always the shipping. I’ve had orders with tracking show up a day early and as much as a week late. There’s better options that may be closer to home.
  5. @whitwolf where did you get that kind of quantity of those?
  6. I really hope jackhammer’s are worth the money they are commanding. I actually want to try them out but the cost is what’s been holding me back.
  7. I have a nearly identical setup on one of my rigs as we speak except the keitech is a touch closer in the gray color. Works very well.
  8. I will confirm this. I literally just ordered two of the Fogy kits from them. One set in 3/8 and another in 1/2oz and they are hands down the better deal.
  9. My friend I am a junk fishing aficionado then because I am limited to shore fishing as you described which is fine and I am comfortable with that. I guess there’s no point in keeping a log to really pattern anything as a bank fisherman. Thank you!
  10. Thanks for the advice my friend and Since you put it that way…. What do you mean by finer details? So far I’m recording time of day, temp, shade/cover, technique and color, location. I honestly feel like I’m unintentionally making this more complicated than it needs to be so please bear with me. I’m catching nearly the same size fish all hours of the day in multiple different locations with varying geography. If you were to look at my fishing log I feel like you would think that I’m purposely writing random details rather than trying to establish a pattern to anything.
  11. Great topic. A fishing log is my new adventure this year as it comes by suggestion from so many here. I will admit that I am having trouble understanding any way to form a pattern around my success’s. 99.1999% of my catches are on four lures/techniques. The T rig, Chatterbait, Jig, shakey head. I’ve recorded the last 17 catches I’ve made from those four and it’s all over the place as far as time of day and weather etc. to the point that I feel like logging anything is pointless. There is literally no discernible pattern on anything. Maybe I’m thinking into it to much or I’m logging catches for the wrong reason or maybe my choice of techniques and lures just happen to be great producers at any time?
  12. This x2! I have the Crush as well and it’s my most recent lews purchase. Hands down the hardest to dial in reel I have ever owned. I bought the combo at $200 and the rod just feels cheap as well as the reel. I also own a tournament SLP from bass pro and it’s a great reel but the side plate won’t fully seat into place. It leaves a small gap between the plate and the frame and although it doesn’t seem to effect the performance, it really annoys me. Daiwa is by far my favorite if for no other reason than it has been amazing straight out of the box. Easy to dial in and it casts a country mile in comparison to my Abu and lews. I would recommend the Tatula 100 which is what I have.
  13. The last of my @Siebert Outdoors order came yesterday! Can’t wait to trailer up these bad boys and wet them! Got the Fogy pack kit in 3/8 and in 1/2oz. This literally winds up my buying for the season and even the bait monkey gave me his approval. Well my wife trumps the bait monkey and he just doesn’t like it is all lol And to think I was going to stop by there today…Dangit!
  14. There’s some times when I watch them on YouTube where they will literally walk nearly bare foot and with shorts on in areas where I couldn’t be paid to go with out a charmer(.22) and they are just Willy nilly 100mph lol. God bless their determination to enjoy fishing in a way that’s comfortable for them.
  15. Same guy. Twice. He was running a trot line on the river and while up close on the bank pulling the line up out of the water one fell out of the tree limb(s) above his boat and into his boat. He lost the battle with the boat paddle and the snake and got popped on his right shin. He made it to the ramp, loaded his boat, and drove himself to the hospital 20ish miles away. He took a break from fishing for about the next two months and rest of that year he was fine. The next year was at the same boat ramp, but loading the boat after finishing the day out. Same foot nearly in the same exact area.
