  1. Hey all - curious if anyone knew whether I would be allowed to register a boat in CT with a NY License. I bought a lake house up in northeast CT but live in NY. Would like to throw a trolling motor on my nucanoe but will have to get it registered with CT DOT. Does anyone know if you can register a boat in CT with a NY license? I don't have a CT State ID card yet and the DMV isn't open for that right now. Thanks.
  2. Hi All, Generally new to fishing and would appreciate any recommendations for lure set ups for mid-Spring / early Summer. Thanks in advance.
  3. Do you use a trailer with the jig?
  4. Curious if there's any decent transom mounted foot controlled TM options out there. It looks like the MotorGuide Bulldog isn't made anymore. Likely going to get a little pond hopper (Bassraider, Pond Prowler, Sportsman) and would prefer that to keep my hands free but not a huge deal. Not looking to mount anything like a legit bow mount TM on one of these haha. Thanks.
  5. Hey all, Curious for any thoughts/input on the Field&Stream Angler 10. There's a really nice used one for sale nearby that will come with a 55 lbs minn kota, battery and fish finder for $950. Really interested in buying as I need something to throw in my pickup for now and fish small lakes/ponds all south of 1,000 acres (most smaller than a few hundred). I like that it can fish 2-people when needed and light enough to launch myself. Can't have a trailer right now due to HOA. Was considering a Nucanoe Frontier but rigging it the way I wanted to would be over $2-2.5k and just not in the budget right now. Thanks for any input.
  6. Thanks all for your insights - great stuff and much appreciated.
  7. Hi All - Great reading all the knowledge on the boards here. Was curious for advice/recommendations on early Spring bass lures. I plan to utilize some jerkbaits, spinners, lipless cranks, jig/pigs and my usual soft plstics, but was curious what your go-to lures are for April/early May in the Northeast when the water's 40-50 degrees. Thanks for any input.
  8. Thanks for the input, good to know going with Nucanoe wouldn't be a regret. Do either of you fish tandem or have fish tandem with the Frontier 12? May consider that if can fish 2 decently. If not, would go with the Flint and a cheap used Jon for fishing with a buddy.
  9. Hi All, I recently moved to northwest CT and will fishing a bunch of small lakes and ponds around here. I've been looking into getting something portable and light that I can throw in the back of my truck to hit a lot of these smaller waters - all less then 1,000 acres. While I eventually want to get a jon, I don't have space for a trailer right now. Curious for thoughts on the Nucanoe Flint. It looks like it would fit my needs great, but I've also seen the Jonny Bass 100 that looks like another solid option. The Gheenoes are big down in FL but not common here in the northeast. While a lot of the waters I'll fish restrict all motors, would like to still have something I can throw a trolling motor or small 2.5 hp outboard for the bigger lakes. Tired of shore fishing! Appreciate any input. Thanks a lot.
