  1. Who here knows of a baitcasting reel with a "flipping switch" feature? Could be anything, expensive or inexpensive An example of a reel with one is the Lew's Super Duty G but I'm trying to look at other options
  2. I like the citica a lot. I own a Curado 200 K and it does everything. Too bad neither of them have this "flipping switch" feature I'm looking for...
  3. I dont know man, I still believe that working a rod like that from shore or standing in a boat is a lot better of a presentation than sitting down in a kayak. I dont know what it is, I'm 6'1, I get ticked off by anything in my way like rodholders, electronics, etc. It's not the same but to each his own! I gotta imagine that if you're working a really long rod Like that you gotta be constantly hitting the surface of the water
  4. I guess I'm just impartial then because I've always been told that st croix rods are the best rods out there and from my experience, I never had a problem. If i needed a good froggin rod, yeah, I probably wont go with a st croix but I'll go with a dobyns fury or champion instead.... But I'm fishing st croix's till the day I die
  5. Thank you for this suggestion, its definitely a pretty reel and I was actually looking at that. Unfortunately, it doesn't have that flipping switch I'm talking about. Here's an example, check out the video at 45 seconds:
  6. I just bought the 7'1 Mojo Bass Med Heavy jigs and baits rod and I can't wait to break it out this spring. I like what you said about it and yeah, its light as a feather. However, we could argue that the 704C Dobyns probably has a slight bit more back bone, however, nothing on this earth beats st croix sensitivity (besides G loomis). A st croix will beat that dobyns in sensitivity anyday of the week.
  7. Hey guys, I'm looking for a solid and versatile reel for my punching set up, any suggestions? Specifically, I'm ONLY interested in a baitcasting reel that has a "flipping switch". These seem to be impossible to find, but an example of a reel with a flipping switch is the Lew's Super Duty G. Also, I heard that Abu Garcia's black max and silver max have them in specific models. Please help me and list some suggestions, I've scoured the internet and can't find many options. Finding a reel with a flipping switch is my main concern. What do you guys know (P.S. This is unimportant but im throwing it on a 7'3 Okuma Scott Martin Signature TCS Casting Rod Heavy, Fast action because I like the way Scott martin fishes and I'm using it in a kayak so i can't really work a legit 7'11 Ex Heavy flippin stick.) What are the best baitcasters with a flipping switch option? Idc if it's $20 or $400 Thanks!!!!!!
