  1. I was really into getting a diawa tatula elete rod in the 7,4 heavy frog but that is only in ags and I’m not Liking the Idea of that much of a price jump fore those guides I’m more than happy with Gigi guide train but the normal guides closest rod is the 7,3 heavy flip so what is the actual action difference between the 7,3 flip and the ags 7,4 heavy fast

  2. I love my endurance and I will buy another it performs like it is in between the Sierra and champion Dobyns. Rods and it is at a lower price point than both
  3. It’s still soft fore a medium heavy granted I have the jig special and when I compared it to my friends 734 fury his fury was stiffer
  4. I’ve been looking fore a jig and just a stiffer medium heavy in general I tried a Dobyns 744 and it’s a noodle I looked at a 735 and tbh it feel like what a I thought a 6 would feel like the closest I got to what I want was a 7,3 heavy lews but that was to stiff I like the way the back bone loads up on my champion but I hate how soft the tip is
  5. Any opinions on the shimono curado rod how sensitive is it compared to other rods and how does the action compare to other rods like the Dobyns champion powell endurance and lews rods
  6. Any opinions on the shimono curado rod I’m looking at the split grip 7,5 extra fast medium heavy fore jigs and such and I would like some people to put this rods power in perspective I own a 7,3 heavy tp1 and a Dobyns 744 champion so if you could compare it to those rods ore other rods similar to those
  7. Yeah I have the 744 and it’s just to soft I believe the 734 has less tip so I was looking fore a 735
  8. Tbh I don’t want to spend that much I’m gonna sell my powell 724 cause it feels like my Dobyns and then I will have around 150$ I could pay a little extra but I’m not trying to go that much higher
  9. I really enjoy fishing a jig and I’ve been trying to get my combo set up and I’ve tried mod fast action in a 5 power and I liked it but I’ve been trying to try extra fast actions and I got a Dobyns champion 744 extra fast and it is just to soft of a rip and not enough back bone great Texas rig rod but I don’t like it fore jigs just to soft so what is a good extra fast rod that isn’t to tippy and is a stiffer medium heavy ore a lighter heavy. I don’t want to spend more than 180$
  10. Yeah and with jigs I was having that issue fishing Of long points and stuff like that and sending long cast but it pitches great Well yeah I love the diawa reels fore braid to leader and I like the abus fore flouro and I was expecting the shimono to feel more like a diawa when casting not like an abu
  11. No I want the breaks in the beginning of the cast like the old breaks on old shimonos the pin style these break later in the cast
  12. Braid and flouro simply need different cast settings and some reels just cast better with one type of line braid u want the breaks in the beginning and flouro more at the end and the new breaks on most reels hit more twords the end
  13. Yes but the break when casting don’t engage until later in the cast the old shimono pin breaks would kick in the beginning and taper of the take a while to kick it on the cast Yeah that’s what I’ve had the best luck with but you set the spool tention to loose and it sounds like he’ll and I just feel like it isn’t parforming my 80$ reels are out casting this reel I’m not getting the long cast I should fore 170$ my 80$ reels out cast it
  14. Any one else having issues with the curado k with braid to leader it’s a good reel dot. Get me wrong but I feel with braid I’m casting not as well as 60$ reels and with fluorocarbon it’s excelling. Any suggestions fore a better break setting I’m tuning 2 internal 2-4 External has just keep getting back lashes in the beginning and then when I don’t the I feel like I can feel the breaks killing the cast half way through and I’m not getting bad distance like I put cast most people I fish with still but it just isn’t what I expected at this price point and coming from what I had been at
  15. The slx will cast farther is smaller and the tatula is just more rugged it doesn’t cast a far but has external adjustable brakes i personally would suggest the slx xt as many of my friends have all 3 of these reels the xt is worth the extra money over the standard and is a better reel then the tatula the only thing I would suggest is buying a new carbon fiber drag stack from carbontex and install that
  16. Anyone know a good way to change the colors of a fishing rod?
  17. Is tackle direct a legit website I’ve found mixed review
  18. Well personally I would look fore a 7,2 / 7,3 fore what you are doing 7,2 would be ideal but with a 7,2 I would want a longer handle I believe that then you won’t honestly have that much rod blank swinging around compared to you’re 7 foot do to the handle being an inch longer and the advantage is that most companies will significantly beef up a rod from a 7 to a 7,2 And I am getting it at the end of this month Also I would love to buy you’re avid ?
  19. The 2.0 most definitely is not an extra fast in the medium heavy it loads deeper then my lews cranking rod
  20. Anyone know a good way to find shimono e series reels like the curado e7 chronarch and critica I’ve looked one ebay but left handed reels are pretty hard to find
  21. ca Someone explain what rod deflection is I under stand action and rod characteristic but I hear rod deflection tossed around a would like to know exactly what they mean
  22. Ok thank you but may I ask if you could compare it to and lews medium heavy ore a abu because they are stuffed then what I want but I want stiffer then a lews rod
  23. Well I will flip brush a lot I also fish around grass a lot I’m in high school I don’t have enough money to have super specific rod but I do jig fish a lot and through swimbaits on swimbait hooks over all I am looking fore a “power fishing“ setup Also I am pretty familiar with abu and st Croix rods so if you could compare it to those that would help I don’t want this rod to be as stiff as a abu medium heavy but a faster action then st croix rods
  24. I’ve been trying to do as much research as possible and I am stuck between the 744 and 735 in the champion xp line of rods. I want a jig and Texas rig rod. I will 20 lb flouro Carbon so I want an extra fast tip to make up fore the stretch in my line but I don’t want the 744 to be to soft but I also don’t want to buy a 735 if it isn’t going to have a soft tip.
