  1. Somewhere in my packed away goodies I have a bunch of those Comet minnows in several sizes.
  2. Wut? Post it up Tom. I have a huge jar of old uncle josh pork frogs.
  3. Oops sorry, I only throw the Spro hair jigs. If I'm trolling that's another story.
  4. I always thro the spro.
  5. I have an All Star saltwater rod that I've had for decades. Nice blue color. Same company?
  6. J Francho I am officially jealous, that is a nice home. But I just bought a home on 1.1 acre with a 150' drive of gravel. It will need immediate foundation repair, and then a new roof. But I paid cash and can spend a good amount on whatever materials and labor are needed to make it cozy. Deer visitors and 4 miles to the launch ramp on the Pacific ocean. I lived in the same noisy location for 30 years so I treated myself to a super quiet spot.
  7. I love fishing the suspending bluegill baits when I know there are bluegill around. They look so realistic I gain confidence throwing them. That's a great pic Bluebasser86.
  8. I put off getting rid of rods and reels because it was a low priority. I had way too much other stuff to do getting ready for my house sale. I wrapped them up in bundles of 10 or so and they took lots of room in storage. Now I have to move them and tons of lead and plastics, and worry about selling stuff later. I have been retired for exactly a year and have been fishing once. Life gets in the way. Sold the house by the way. I'm going to be homeless in about 23 days.
  9. At one point I was so enamored of fishing it was all I thought about. So naturally I went to pouring my own baits, pouring my own jigheads, tying hair raisers, etc. Every thing for fresh or salt. Now, I have way too much of every thing. Absolutely lost my mind. But pouring plastics was so much fun. I actually made $150 in one day selling off lead pieces. I posted it online and was literally buried with pm's. I could have charged more but I wanted the stuff gone. And I still have too much, lol.
  10. I solved it completely. I never go fishing.
  11. I had no idea. I have a couple customs I had built a looong time ago. Pistol grips, still like new. After I move I may sell them off. They're in storage all wrapped up.
  12. Yes, I used to drive a route all over Central Cal. Everytime I went south I'd park next to the delta and catch a couple of catfish. My boss asked why I stopped in the same area every time I went thru there. I told him and he just said bring him some catfish too, lol.
  13. I always used the rubber encased rattles with a ring openiong that you add to the hook. Sorry I can't remember who made them.
  14. If you just fold the barb down it leaves a nub that in my mind help retain the fish on the hook anyway. The hook comes out easier when it comes time to release the fish. With proper tension on the fish and a proper drag you will get them in. If you are fishing tourney's you are going to fish differently obviously.
  15. I'm feeling you brother. I retired and shtf. Splitting after 30 years, so house is going up for sale. I have been working too hard for a 66 year old. I feel spent and in pain every night. My grown kids are doing very little to help, maybe 8 hours help in 4 months. I finished painting (not done though) at 9:00pm yesterday. (After sheetrock and baseboard). I sat on the floor next to the wall with one sock on as I was too tired to get undressed for bed. I keep thinking 'just do a little bit more'. You know how you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. But the elephant is sitting on my back. The money from the house will only buy me a small place in another state. I'm going to have to learn to fly solo and watch my dollars.
