  1. I have extremely little experience throwing swimbaits. But I can tell its a grind 99% percent of the time. You’re sacrificing bites for a chance at a larger fish. Coming up empty is apart of the deal. Like Hammer said location and timing is key. Also mental toughness ?
  2. What setup are you using? Rod/Reel/Line
  3. I suggest two baits. A Ned Rig (Zman TRD) and an in-line spinner (Mepp, Rooster Tail etc.) Both will catch bass and other species. A good retrieve for a ned rig is a extremely slow straight retrieve on the bottom. Another one is to drag the bait on the bottom with an occasional small hop. Colors would be dark green (green pumpkin) or black (black blue fleck). An inline spinner is the easiest lure to use. A moderate or fast straight retrieve is best. Let the blade do its magic. Colors would be a brown or black body with silver or gold blades. Both of these baits are easy to use and combine to cover the whole water column
  4. I’ve caught some studs using Siebert Outdoors 3/8 swim jigs. Favorite trailer is a 4.3 Keitech in Pro Staff Special in Bluegill situations. Pro Blue Red Pearl in Shad situations
  5. 3/8 arkie style jig (for flipping and swimming) Senko Chatterbait Straight tail worm (Trick worm or Roboworm) Squarebill Crankbait Spinnerbait
  6. Norman Fat Boy is a plastic knock off. Has a really nice wobble to it and cheaper. I'm sure the action is not as good as the WEC or the Black Label (these baits are balsa). But I catch alot on the Norman.
  7. I have an all-around casting setup and use 16 pound Sniper for jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits etc. Works really well
  8. What makes it funny is he won it throwing a Vision 110 +1. Color is GP Stain Reaction OB. It is sold out on TW right now. What a surprise ?
  9. It is a Classic release. It's on Tacklewarehouse's website right now.
  10. A number 3 Mepps and Creek Smallies go together like a PB&J your mother made you when you were a kid.
  11. I try to focus on where they live and what bigger bass are feeding on. The day I caught my PB I found that downsizing caught the bigger fish that day. I caught my PB on a shakey head and then immediately upsized to a jig. Caught a couple of average fish on the jig. But, once I switched back to the shakey head. I started to catch larger fish again.
  12. The frog is called the Launch Frog. Watched a video having JT explain the features of the frog. I guess they added a tungsten internal weight for extra casting distance (hence the name). Also the tail weight sits farther back on the frog
  13. Greg Vinson leaked some new Scum Frogs set to be released later this year on his Instagram. Biggest takeaways are the Owner hooks and the upgraded paint jobs that you would get on a Spro or Booyah frog. More photos are on his Instagram.
  14. Congrats on the new website
  15. That would match up great.
  16. PB&J is a favorite of mine in this situation

  19. It looks like the flyer had the name misprinted. The ad shows what looks like the Rayburn Red color listed on Cabela's website. Another thing I noticed on the BPS flyer was that it's on sale at launch and regular price is $5.99.
  20. Was reading about the lures used at Lake Eufaula in the MLF Tour Event. Found that Stetson Blaylock was throwing a new Booyah squarebill called the Booyah XCS 100. Supposed to be a recreation of the old XCalibur 100. Article stated the lure will be out this summer. But I found it was listed on Cabelas website and in the upcoming BPS Spring Classic flyer. Will be interesting if they are as good as the original XCalibur.
  21. Hello from Central Iowa. I've been a long time lurker of the forum and thought it's the time to be an "official" member ?.
