  1. St croix is releasing the new victory line soon. They claim to have balanced the line & most will be under $200.
  2. I have the legend elite version & find it to be a “Swiss army” rod. I bought it to cast spoons at a local reservoir with a no boat restriction. Its good for casting/trolling cranks, lighter flipping & most moving baits. I say go for it. You will find plenty of uses.
  3. Hook still sharp? Sometimes hitting them with a file makes a difference
  4. fishing is therapy!!!!
  5. I have an older generation LTB 7’3” XH/F . It’s rated to 2 1/4 oz, I find it works great for pike & downsized musky jerkbaits. Never found much use for it bass fishing.
  6. St croix has a 7’11” heavy mod/fast in several different rod models. Good for lure weight up to 2 ounces. I like my older style legend xtreme
  7. I use an old Abu Garcia C4 winch for 10xd’s. It’s a 3.9:1 ratio
  8. Dunno, ask your rod.... it should have weight range printed on it.
  9. Any idea how durable the surface is? How long before scuffs & scratches make it not so clear?
  10. Just rig up both & see what works best
  11. The g/f says I have too many.
  12. After a long sh:$$y day at work this thread helped me laugh it off. I eagerly await your next project
  13. Check the DEC website. Look for the lake maps section. They list the species in each lake.
  14. Any k cup can be recycled with a bit of effort.
  15. If more people would follow suit perhaps some of today’s BS would stop.
  16. I’ve been getting auto deliveries of kcups from the black rifle coffee co for a while now. A bit expensive, but I like giving these guys my money.
  17. Sturgeon are one that comes to mind. Seem to be pretty common these days in the north east but still a ban on fishing for them.
  18. Did you buy the block rod holders or is that a DIY? If DIY where did you get the material? That looks to suit my needs perfectly.
  19. Academy sports has a lot of reels & other stuff 20% off.
  20. I keep a “bailer” in the boat. A bleach jug cut in half..... it’s the toilet for those who don’t want to go over the side.
  21. I have ordered a few reels from Amazon. Never had a bad experience. I suggest ordering the reel & if you have any issues/doubts about the reel when it arrives just send it back. They won’t charge you for the return.
  22. Catching a 29” brook trout on 4 wt fly rod while fishing for landlocked salmon.
