  1. Very cool! That’s one lure I’m kinda surprised there isn’t a lure more similar to it today. Appreciate the sentiment of sending me the lure if you had it! Good to hear. I wasn’t totally sure if people would find those interesting or just make the video too long, so I’ll stick to those for future decades and will be sure to post the video on the forum as well. Thanks!
  2. Hey all, Figured I’d share the winning lures from the Bassmaster Classics in the 70s video I put together as I know some folks on here helped me in finding some of these lures. Much appreciated and would love any feedback you have! Thanks for watching! https://youtu.be/mdiCsqV6AR8
  3. I’m hoping to start making more of my own tackle in bulk over the winter here in Nebraska. What’s the best site to buy parts from? (e.g., jig heads, skirts, hooks, etc.)
  4. Hey everyone! I'm in the market for my first glass boat. Moving away from the trusty basstracker and onto a big boy boat. My tow vehicle is only a v6 so I'm sticking with the 18' boats and possibly 19' if they're lighter boats (max towing is 4210lbs). I'm wondering what the best hulls and motors of the 1990s/early 2000s? Here's what I've been focusing on: Hulls - Champion 181/183/186 - Stratos 275/285 - Ranger Comanche 300 series - Skeeter 175 (very difficult to find) - Triton 186 (I like that they have all composite transoms) Motors - Yamaha Pro V 150 - Mercury EFI 150 - Johnson Fastrike 150 - Evinrude Intruder 150 Is that a good list?? Any I should avoid or add to it?? Looking for a good combo of speed and fishability. Hoping to touch 60mph. Thanks!
  5. Hey all, I'm looking into used bass boats in the 1995-2000 range and I'm curious if I should stick to the 18'-19' boat or if I could possibly bump up to the 20'-21' boat. My only concern on this is my truck is a 2017 Ram 1500 3.6L V6. It's rated towing capacity is 4,210lbs. Would I have any issues towing a bigger bass boat and trailer? I read that most bigger bass boats range in the 2,000-2,500lbs range, but I think that was dry weight and I wasn't sure on trailer weight. Any comments would be helpful! Thanks!
  6. Frankly, I would ideally like to trade my Basstracker for a fiberglass straight up. Sweet, thank you!
  7. Is there a way that I'd be able to check the compression while I'm test driving? I don't have a gauge or anything like that, but is there another way to do it?
  8. Hey all, So I found what seems to be a good deal on an older Stratos with an Evinrude 150hp on the back and he seems like he might be interested in trading with me for my older Basstracker. I'm a little concerned with Evinrude shutting down this year that there won't be good support if something goes wrong with the motor, God forbid. Now let me preface with, I'm a recent college grad looking for a slight upgrade from my Basstracker now that I have a full time job and actually making money lol. I'm not looking for anything too fancy, but I don't want it to be a huge headache for me either. I'm relatively handy with fixing and dealing with motors/boats myself as I basically did all the maintenance myself on my Basstracker, minus a few professional walkthroughs. What's everyone's thoughts? I've included a pic of the motor for reference as well. Any help would be much appreciated!
  9. Thanks Glenn!
  10. Thank you very much! Any other recommendations around Mississippi State U?? That's where I'll be.
  11. Awesome! Roll Jays! Nice! I drive up that way quite often. My girlfriend has a cabin near Springfield, SD on the river. We should fish sometime! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
  12. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
  13. That’s what I like to hear! Would it be worth bringing my boat to Calling Panther too then?
  14. Thank you! Let’s do it! Thanks!

  16. Hey all! I'm Adam from Omaha, NE. I founded the bass club at Creighton University as a freshman in 2016. Our club is partners with the Nishna Valley Bassmasters of Iowa, so I often fish their tournaments. I fish a lot of local lakes around Omaha as well. My favorite lake in NE is probably Carter Lake which isn't far from Creighton's campus.
  17. Hey All, I'm thinking of making a trip to MS from April 24-28th and will be within an hour and a half to 2 hours of Ross Barnett Reservoir or "the rez". Does anyone have any good bass guides they'd recommend for down there? I thought about bringing my boat, but I just have a 17.5" Bass Tracker and I know that's a huge lake, way bigger than any I've fished in my home state of Nebraska.
